@@jankowskyglass she had 12.5k miles 😬 Sadly, I had to let her go due to me moving and having to take care of my wife’s medical needs. I do miss my bike!
Hey brother, first of all thanks for the awesome detailed videos. Really helped my pull, clean, and rebuild my carbs on my 85 700cc. All my hoses are stiff and cracked when removing them. Any way you could make a short vid showing the sizes and where they all connect? Also where did you get the dope blue hoses for your bike? Keep up the good work man!
Thanks brother!! I try! I bought my hoses from a local Yamaha dealer. The fuel lines are 1/4 inch and the vacuum lines are 3/16 inch. Sadly, my wife needed surgery and I had to sell my bike due to financial stuff. :( hopefully I can get another one soon!
Hey! So those plastic ones use to have a piece of mesh inside them. They’re old bikes so that’s gone... I upgraded them by buying these. www.ebay.com/itm/371949447285 I used the oem hoses and stuffed one of these right in.
When I re attached my throttle, it won't go all the way shut at first. If I gently release it, there will be about 1/8-1/4 of an inch gap. If I quickly shut it, it will close all the way. Any idea what the issue could be? Or is that normal? Without the cable it shuts just fine. So I know the carb is good.
You might have moved the sync screw. Or you can try putting the idle knob (right side of carb) up until it barely touches the latch. You want to have the idle at 800-1,000 rpms. Some like to be at 1.2k rpms
Hombre, after watching your long long videos it would have been intereresting to see her start and see how it runs.
That’s true. I didn’t think of that. Sorry!
I should’ve done a long ride video.
All I can say is, she ran like a damn BEAST! For a 700

Sorry brother. Hope your wife is ok. Hope you can get back in the saddle, cuz I'm sure a number of us definitely need ya. Prayers and good luck!
@@maximusadameus5032 thank you!!!
Why do you have Brass Air Silencers on the carb vents instead of the black plastic breathers?

How much did you sell that beast for? If you don't mind me asking. I've seen Viragos go from super cheap, to I dunno if I'd pay that much lol
Haha! Well, after I tuned it up and all, I sold it for 2k. But she ran like a dream!!

Right on. And what octane gas did you use?
