- @BMDPortraits presents this new realistic portrait drawing tutorial (my last in 2022). This time i try to study and experiment on a relatively new drawing style or technique. I was a bit apprehensive to let you see this drawing technique because i feel like i needed more time to master this especially that i would use pastel pencil on a paper that is not particularly for it. But when i started working on it i gradually see that it's actually might work. Sanded papers are still my favorite for my regular pastel drawings but this new portrait drawing style, i think this Strathmore mixed media toned tan paper will work just fine. And this new drawing style requires only four pieces of pastel pencil (Stabillo Carbothello) therefore i know it will still stick to the paper. This drawing tutorial is something that i'm happy to share to everyone, portrait artists around the world, young and old, boy or girl, beginners or not and i know you'll enjoy it and hopefully learn something from it.

Faber Castell released a new pencil called Pitt Graphite Matt, it has 14B. I have it as a gift and it is very dark and mate finished. You should try it.

Thank you very much once again. I practiced this on the materials( 118 gsm strathmore toned tan) that I already have and it came out a quite nice to my beginner level. Looking forward for more and more videos to learn from you.
