This is still a useful comparison for FDR-AX700 users. Thank you. I bought it to produce short interviews and performers within 20 feet or less BUT for recreation I find myself shooting powersports competitions for the challenges they bring. So the zoom factors are of interest.

in the comparison portion of the video, what was the purpose/outcome? Which is better or what were you trying to point out? I'm not a camera person so I have no idea what I was supposed to be looking at, I thought both looked good! haha. I was just searching for videos on this camera and saw yours, Very nice video/shots and cool airplanes and scenery in Japan! :)
This person compared the performance of the optical zoom vs the digital zoom, as the latter usually degrade the image a lot. In this case I think it is not bad at all

クリアイメージズームでも非常に画質が良いですね。装着できる２倍テレコンが有れば1044mmまで伸ばせますね。
クリアイメージズームを使わずに、テレコンで焦点距離を延ばすという選択肢もありますね。
１インチセンサーなので、AX45よりだいぶ映像がきれいですね

んー？ 全て綺麗でした 先日のカメラテスト画像の時にも感じましたが クリアと言うか言葉が適当かどうかは分かりませんが、透明感？１枚幕が取れた様なと言うんでしょうか。ただ、どのカメラで撮影したかは自分には判別が出来ないですね。 今年も１年ありがとうございます。 来年も宜しくお願いします🙇

それそれ1機づつしかいないので、レアと言えばレアですが、羽田だと遭遇する確率は高いと思います。

sd1 = 4k,, sd2 = 1080 ,, dekimasu ka...
It is impossible. But you can filmed by SD1 & SD2 = 4K & (1280×720 or 640×360).
