This weeks Bolt Action battle report see us play a doubles match where Rick and Dan return to the Ministry of Miniatures to go head to head with Stew and I in a 1000 point battle using the rulebook scenario 9: Point Defence.
Stew and I will defend a small French town near Chambois, Normandy with a 2 platoon, 1000 point German Grenadier army in a bid to prevent the allied forces from closing the Falaisr gap and continuing theirpush for superiority over Normandy.
Rick and Dan will be playing American 15th Corp 90th Division at Chambois.
To represent this battle we play Scenario 9 Point Defence from the main Bolt Action rule book where the American force has to capture three key positions to close the Pocket.
But who will win, watch and see how this battle unfolds…

20th August... My great-great uncle was killed 5 days later, aged 25. Uncovered his medals when great nan passed away and found his info on CWGC. Going on holiday to France next week and hoping to take his medals to the cemetery.

Where did you get the buildings from?

The buildings are from Sarissa Precision and Micro Art Studio, we generally go for a mix of manufacturers 👍🏻
Do snipers get two shots? New player I didn't realize that.
No, not normally… but this is a specialist sniper in the German list that if you pay extra for, he has the chance to take two shots at the same target. That may well change with 3rd Edition Bolt Action though!
@@theministryofminiatures where does it say about that sniper?. Rules or the armies book? I've never seen anything about that. Is it unique to a certain list build? If so which?
The sniper is a Gewehr 43 Sniper Team. He is from Italy tough gut, but can be in a generic platoon.
@@theministryofminiatures I've never seen that option when using reinforced platoon lists.
We use easy army quite a lot… Rick has used the sniper a few times, we are both happy that generally (but not always) we are fairly liberal with the army list, in this instance it adds a little bit of fun to the list 👍🏻
I think v3 will nerf the snipers a fair bit, so we are making the most of them!
