Maria Therese: Thank you for recording this book under the auspices of Libri Vox. However, the all too common mispronunciations of words like "demeanor" (demm-enor) or "bosom" (bah-zum), as well as pronouncing simple words like "man" as "mee-an", compromises the quality of the listener's experience. Watch those vowel sounds! If you don't know how to pronounce a word, look it up. A voice actor must be aware of their weaknesses and try to articulate in a more universally pleasant way. Thank you for posting this link. I am not the narrator, but know that I could benefit from listening to them.

This narrator is hugely preferable to the narrator for the Audible book. That narrator shouts or whispers, incredibly annoying.

This is hugely unsatisfactory. The story is a thing of beauty, and the narrator cannot be understood.
Better not to have uploaded it at all.

Librivox readers are volunteers, not professionals. If you find this recording so offensive, perhaps you could join Librivox and donate your time and do better.
