It’s an ongoing process gardening! This garden has been a long time in the making (almost 4 years). Best of luck with yours.

Thank you! What sort of dog do you have? Perhaps you can grow things in raised beds or pots?

I love Birdies garden beds but must make for very expensive vegetables.

Yep there’s definitely more cost-effective ways to start a garden that’s for sure! They last a long time which is a plus. If I had my time again I’d probably make some wicking beds from IBCs.

Well done! A very productive garden. I’ve left my plantings too late so they are nowhere near the size of your plants.

Thanks Ruth! What did you plant? Sounds like you’ll have plenty to eat late in the season though!

    Any planting advice for blueberries?

Hi Heather, I’m no blueberry expert unfortunately. The only thing I know is they like acidic soil. I haven’t pH tested my soil but it might be worth it. They like the same conditions as Roses and Azaleas (acidic) so I bought some rose and azalea slow release fertiliser and popped it in the planting hole. I was going to try get some rose and azalea potting mix to put in the hole but couldn’t find it. So perhaps try that. They seem to be doing well! Good luck with yours!

So I have some seedlings I bought yesterday to plant. We are expecting a 43 degree day Monday, should I wait until after the heat to plant them? Or plant tonight (Friday) regional vic here.

What type of seedlings? If you’ve got the time to wait, then I’d say wait. Better to be safe than sorry. If you do plant them out make sure to water them well at least twice on the hot day (preferably more), and if you can, cover with a bit of shade cloth or something to keep the afternoon sun off them.
