❤Well Happy new trials ❤❤❤ wherever life take you all going forward❤OHH WILL MISS SEEING YOU ALL AND HAZEL who knows we may see you all in Taiwan doing a trail, with Hazel🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It really has been a Hoot And A Half over the last two hiking seasons to ride along peeking over your shoulders as you worked to hike the PCT and then connect the missed Sierra footsteps from last year. I watch a lot of PCT/CDT/AT thru-hiking videos and you have been the best, most entertaining and informative reporters of the thru-hiking experience that I've ever seen. I'm gonna miss seeing new Codgers PCT videos, but congratulations on Connecting Your Steps...and ...Happy Trails to you two, Hazel, and Mr. Freeze!!
So happy for the last day on the PCT trail (bus trip and airplane trip home). Congratulations to the four Codgers! Codger wives- you need to send the Codgers out next May to do the CDT…that is for your mental health. Codgers-talk to Energizer, Mash and Knee Deep about their CDT adventure this year. They will give you an honest take on the CDT. As always, may God bless you and keep you in good health. 👍
Thanks guys...and gal...really enjoyed your journey last year and this year. BTW,..perhaps Hazel has told you, there's alot of beautiful hiking in Taiwan! Perhaps a visit in the future....Codgers in Asia!
Nice wrap up and fun to watch. Hope you all had a good flight home. Hazel had a long one! Well, you know we're already waiting to see what trail you'll do next. Don't be strangers. We all love hearing from you guys.
Love the Hostel California! Had a great stay on my thru hike last year. And Bishop was probably my favorite trail town. Glad you guys were able to complete the PCT.
I hope everyone's trip home was good, especially Hazel having to fly 11 or 12 hours. I hope you four will all meet up again for more backpacking. I'm sad I won't be seeing regular Codger videos but I know ya'll will be back! Happy Trails.
Those switchbacks scared the heck outta me. It has been beyond wonderful following you on your journey. One part of it that will always stand out for me is how you kept on trekking through all the deep snow in the San Bernardinos and the San Gabriels, in Southern California. Those snow banks on Highway 2 were scary. I spoke recently with someone who worked with FEMA in Big Bear. The snow was so deep at one point that people couldn’t get out. They were air dropping food. Anyway, thank you so much and thanks to your family for all the terrific videos and your great codger sense of humor.
Thanks for sharing your adventures. It’s been fun watching you deal with your challenges with your sense of humor and keeping it real. Bishop is a great place to land off the trail. You should bring your family out to the eastern sierras in a car trip though. So much beauty and history and natural wonders. Death Valley is not far from lone pine which is your jumping off place to Mt Whitney. So the highest and lowest elevation in the lower 48 are so close. And so much beauty in both places. Also the oldest living things on earth are the bristle cone pines which are not far off the 395 near bishop. The Alabama hills where many famous movies have been filmed are the at lone pine as well as the really cool western film museum. Between lone pine and independence is Manzanar, a fascinating look at history and the resilience of a people who while suffering terrible injustice created beauty that has survived to this day. The independence court house is where Manson was arraigned. There is a great little eastern Sierra museum in independence. There is a couple ghost towns out there, the best of which is Bodie. And so many lakes and rivers to explore. Mono lake at the eastern entrance to Yosemite. And Yosemite is very worthwhile visiting, just not in summer. My fav season is spring. Less crowded and the waterfalls are exploding with gushing water. And mirror lake is full. So it can live up to its name. And the dogwoods are in full bloom. So gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us all. Happy trails to you all
They're livin' it up at the Hostel California What a hot surprise Air conditioning would suffice Last thing I remember, I was running for the door I had to find those High Sierra temps back at the place I was before "Relax" said the night man, we will get an evening breeze You can check out of the PCT, but the images and cool air never leave
Thanks for this great series we have followed you right from the start many moons ago 😅. Here's wishing you both and your family's a healthy and wonderful Xmas. Much love from the U. K.

@@hikingwiththecodgers4086 Great to hear! Thanks for replying. Many are in my prayers for sure. I live in Arizona but grew up 13 miles north of Erwin, Tennessee, which of course is a favorite re-supply stop for those through-hiking the AT. Lots of mind-boggling devastation there and Unicoi as well as elsewhere.
Safe travels back to Woodstock! I went to college at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Miss going to the Braves games, but don't miss the Atlanta traffic! Do you two have any interest in hiking the CDT?
I crossed the exposed section ya'll stopped at last year (San Jan approach) and it dawned on me: ya'll haven't made that section up. So, did ya'll only make up the burn sections skipped or large sections skipped or . . .
Thank you again for taking us along and happy trails to you all.
Good bye to You all. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Good bye, Hazel. Missed seeing you this time.

Great meeting you guys at Donahue Pass and congratulations on completing the PCT. Oh yeah, HAPPY TRAILS!

No Filter can do old prospector parts if they ever bring back westerns.
Hope you guys and your families have weathered Helene and its aftermath okay! Wishing you well.
Thank you, all is well in our little corner. Pray for those that were not so fortunate.

You all have been in my thoughts this week. My old brain doesnt quite remember the area you guys live, hopefully you all are safe and well
Did Mr. Freeze do the AT?
Yes, that is where he met the codgers. Check out the AT videos. They met somewhere in the Whites.
@@hikingwiththecodgers4086 yes I will. I started but never finished
