Making a guitar like a guitar pro builder means don't break it again!

- Making a guitar is not the easiest thing I've done. Making a guitar from one of the many DIY acoustic guitar kits would be easier. A guitar pro builder seldom breaks the guitar lining. Making a guitar lining can be tricky and Monty shows how to add linings to the edge of the acoustic guitar in preparation for gluing. However, the solid lining broke both in the bending machine and by hand, so much for a guitar pro builder. So, this DIY guitar builder moved to plan "B". Once glued in place there is another critical step involved in this prep work.

One (of many) things I enjoy with this build process is that you take it slow and methodical!! Far too often these days, ‘we’ are in an immense rush to get 9,314,510 things completed by Noon...and only actually accomplish 2 or 3 at best.

Another entertaining video from the master of guitar building but I have to ask when you are going to do a video on drywalling your ceiling. I get so itchy just looking at all the Roxul insulation above your head but the English Breakfast tea at the end does make me feel better. You and your son's videos do inspire me to continue to pursue my own dreams and for that I thank you.

Yep, if I remember correctly, the iPhone 8Plus has an IP67 rating of protection, which means it is dustproof and you can wash it under running water.👍
Monty McKinnon I still think GoPro is the way forward for this. Easier to clamp and get into awkward spaces than a phone

A while back I purchased a name brand solid cedar top baritone ukulele. They broke the linings too...I no longer have a baritone ukulele.
I raised my cup with you but immediately realized the coffee pot was on too long. I've never had that issue with tea😂

Hello Monty, why not glue the jagged stripes' smooth side to the body and have jagged side facing the inside volume? Isn't it better acoustically wise?
Honestly I think the sound is better as it bounces and not absorbed with the saw cut facing out.
