If Brian is playing Old School Vintage, then he's limited to a very few number of cards from which to play (only 18 *months* worth of sets). Modern Jund has a card pool of 15 1/2 *years* worth of sets. That's why Modern decks SHOULD be able to beat Old School Vintage. However, if Brian was playing MODERN-DAY Vintage, it would be a WHOLE different ball game. :)
I did legacy lands vs land equilibrium Armageddon in old school a couple weeks ago Super fun Our games kept getting interrupted but I had a pretty good shot
@@andykapsar4667 We had some proxies to convert our legacy decks to type 1, but that was all. I had a metalworker deck but we kept all of our cards and decks together and they were stolen so we stopped playing for a while. My friend died a couple of weeks before xmas, so I've been watching these videos some as they help me to remember him.
His entry point of buying some of those cards was a lot lower than it would be now than it was back in the mid 90's and I'm sure he thinks of them more as a keepsake than a retirement portfolio since he's already an accomplished professional in the financial sector
Awesome to see a Weissman video again. Hope for more vids with him, especially if you have deck tech vids.
Would be even better if Daniel didn't talk non-stop throughout the video.
The curve in those old school cards made my skin crawl.

Idk about that, modern is more powerful format than given credit for.
@@a_fuckin_spacemarine7514 modern-day vintage has access to all cards
I love cross format matches 😎
That was fun, good job guys!

Super fun

Very informative to hear the commentary between Sam, Brian and yourself.
i know its not main deck, but okd school does have things that target general permenants like boomerang
Good viewing.... Thanks!
This was cool, it’s kinda like what my friends and I play but in a 5 Player game
Discard strategy underrated. Why spend so much effort getting rid of something on the board when you can spend 1 mana and get rid of it from hand
I played my stax against a ravager affinity deck before it was restricted and with 4 skullclamp... I lost.
If he played the 95 version with 4 mana drains it might be a different story though.
Reminds me of when I played my type 2 affinity deck against a friend's type 1.5 deck and won when darksteel first came out..
1.5. yeesh thats an old reference. did you play type 1 too?

Jund not Jung
I faked a poop for this one.
Cross format play is fun, nice share
Poker reference at end
Good entertainment, thanks!
I cant believe how warped his cards are. It makes me uncomfortable
watching him shuffle hurts my soul

I throw my bum up in the air and wave it like i just dont care...
Ps like your vidz ^.^
Dan, you are like Rudy, you don't know how to play.. ;p
