Correction needed: At 7:10, the narrator suggests that Bohr relied on the De Broglie interpretation to construct his atomic theory. But this cannot be true. Neils Bohr mathematically described his "Bohr atom" in 1913 by introducing quantized orbital momentum using Plancks constant. Then 11 years later, Louis De Broglie in his PhD dissertation of 1924 first described discrete matter waves in his De Broglie equation again using Plancks constant. Nonetheless, thank you David for creating this simple presentation!

This is really cool! The description says this is a high school class. I'm a physics undergrad and they never taught me this

I don't think that is chronologically accurate.
I don't know how neil bohr came up with the angular momentum quantization.
What i do know is that his model was based on the particle nature of electrons.
I don't even think the idea of wave natute of electrons even occured or if it did was definitely not proven until davison and germer.
The fact being De-brogile came up with his hypothesis which turned out to yield bohr's quantization rule as a constraint equation to yield constructively interfered standing waves does not elude to bohr having seen this insight beforehand.
