I'll be streaming on Twitch today at 12pm EST. Come say hi!
Feels disgusted

This is the last thing I expected from this channel, but I'm here for it.
I too am also here for learning about the fascism of sugar and sweets.
testament to this game’s influence
The story of Carrot actually makes me sad. Seems like he was the only one in the series who knew about corruption in the world then sold out for survival. All too real and something that still happens to this day.
ngl I thought I was having a stroke when the serious art guy made a video about pajama sam, this is the content I signed up for, absolutely incredible
Weird how many people apparently didn't realise that this channel is openly leftist when every analysis is clearly made through a leftist lens.
That's what cracks me up when Shapiro-lytes get upset over leftist creators. They're too dim to pick up on it then implode when it's stated outright.
I got this shit in my algorithm so blame UA-cam. Never heard of this loser before.
Fascists are notoriously bad at appreciating any nuances in art. Hahah!
the algorithm is telling you to mature and grow as a person @@higgsbonbon
@@StevenGill1002 Right, because getting your politics from a baby game is super mature. Tell me about the socialist nuances of Thomas the Tankie Engine, Komrade.
Well that was unexpected
I just recently replayed Pajama Sam No Need to Hide When It’s Dark Outside and am glad I can appreciate it so much more as an adult! I remembered a lot of it from when I was younger but damn if it doesn’t carry some weight now.
Man, I'm french and I had all three of these games when I was a kid ; I kinda forgot them until now, where I see a youtuber that I really love doing a whole 45min video essay on the anarchism in those. Man oh man do I love your channel !
I just now put together that Bobby Hill and Rainbow Dash were both done by the same VA
you're correct about bobby, but rainbow dash has a different voice actor
unless this was a joke and i'm a fool
Pyjama Sam three is one of the games I most remember as a child, despite only ever having had the demo disc (along with Demos for Putput through time and one of the Freddi Fish games). For some reason the way the Demo just ended along with the title (which I interpreted as a threat) rendered it the scariest thing kid me had ever played. I remember spending large amounts of time trying to find some way to work my way around which could avoid the determinism of the end of the demo.
Kid me did not understand the concept of an incomplete game and I think that makes 'You are what you eat from your head to your feet' one of the most interesting games I ever played, purely accidentally, becoming this weird surreal horror purely because it didn't have an ending and there was no way to avoid that fact.
Well, that was expected. Beautiful work, Mr Germinaal.
Played this game multiple times 😂
Loved the humongous games as a kid, Pajama Sam, the spy fox, Putt Putt, Freddy Fish, real gamer shit
I enjoy these analysis videos very much. The space between Germinal and Canvas where they intersect is my homeboy.
Mann, I love the randomness of you sometimes.
Keep it going man, I love this channel a lot ❤
Although I dont agree politically (and thats fine), I thought id mention how its interesting hearing your interpretations and analysis of art. Let it be known that its ok and possible to enjoy content from all backgrounds. Thought it might be necessary to let it be known. Keep up the great work
You are either for emancipation or you are against it! You are either a communist or a fascist.
yoooo i remember playing these when I was in elementary school. looking back on it now explains a lot about my personality today tbh. great video topic & coverage!
reading the title of this video sent me to another planet
I LOVE PAJAMA SAM and had the Darkness opening monologue committed to memory at one point. Did not expect this video but hell damn yeah 🔥
Love your videos! This is such an amazing analysis.
I'm honestly a little disappointed that 'Dangerous When Shaken' isn't on Spotify
I can't help but to think that the dissatisfaction felt at the end of all these was intentional. It shows the issues present so clearly and concisely, but then show what a normal, liberal or centrist response to these issues would be. I think if I were playing this as a child, I would be left feeling exactly what I'm feeling now, that there would be more to be done to actually fix the issues at hand.
What a neat video. You've given me a lot to think about
This was one of the first games I played as a kid! I was so excited to see this pop up
Never heard of these games but then I wasn't young back in the 90's, so not looking at these type of games.
I found the analysis interesting & the comments enlightening. There was a remark in the game about the food pyramid: this concept has come in for some recent criticism as the division of the various food group is not as healthy as previously thought.
There is something beautifully human and honest and hilarious, in hearing a narrator with that trademark soft spoken PBS/community radio/nature documentary sophistication, not just discussing a kid's game, but also stumbling over his words out of nowhere when he says "remember the carrot he'll be important later" 😂. It is like hearing Werner Herzog during his cartoon cameos or when he says in heavy interviews about his art things casually like "it's okay it is only an insignificant type of bullet" after being randomly shot by a maniac.
Common W salad liberation front, with special thanks to comrade carrot. He is a true revolutionary.
What?
Whilst I quite like this video (done halfway), be prepared for hate comments, and don't take those to heart. Keep up the great videos man!
I guarantee every last hate commenter is a man with an unwashed arse.
The title of this video surprised me in a VERY GOOD way! You should play Disco Elysium next! ❤
Haha, an incredible turn of events! thank you
factsss this game banger. I think, idk I haven’t played it I only watch play throughs
0:29 im sorry but this picture of you is haunting af
DUDE THIS WAS ACTUALLY SUCH A GREAT VIDEO
I heard that Animal Farm is a great cartoon movie
Disconcious - Hologram Plaza didn't bring me here, but it could've.
This was fun but I can't help but feel like it could've been edited down to like 10 min
One Hell of a title.
I remember this game and spy fox
As a kid,, I played PJS 2. so many memories...
My verbal reaction was "What the fuck?!"
But I also love this
Ha. Edibles, therapy, and seeing a lot of horror for me.
political 90s pajama point and click kids game was not on my bingo card
Everyone say thank you Doug Doug.
Bobby Hill my beloved
oh my god i never shut up about these games. this video was made for ME specifically
Jeez I played all three of these games, I never thought they were leftist. I'm not a leftist. But the third iteration was my least favorite of the 3 games.
As a leftist born in the deep south who loved this game along with Freddy Fish, I'm definitely looking forward to this lol.
Is this a parody?
Magnifique
I can’t even tell you how fabulous this is😻😺🤲
Yeah I read theory
Next do Freddi Fish and Putt-Putt
love it
>> "technically im not a sailboat cuz i dont have a sail"
>> wow so progressive
Fuck I love your content
Wait, this is new. Im a little surprised by the idea you would make a video of this game. I was under the impression that illustration, animation, and things of that nature weren't art in your mind.
Notice how the video was made on the storytelling of the game (this could have been a movie and the analysis wouldn’t be very different). None of my comments are on the illustration, animation or any things of that nature. What made me engage with this work of art is its storytelling, its engagement with the real world through concepts it explores.
People like you make me wonder why I even bother making videos.
Hurtful, but I understand. I did not mean to insult you nor to remove the legitimacy of your arguement; Looking back I could of written the question better. I only wished to ask as I've always wondered about your thoughts on illustration and why they are so strictly negative. I mean no hate, nor did I wish to offend. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
@@TheCanvasArtHistoryThat is an insane reply. You cannot take criticism at all. Later.
@@TheCanvasArtHistory that was an unwarranted reply. Learn to take criticism.
@@lindenkarras5303this is just how leftists act. They're stupid idealists and they're ruining the world. This one is just hilariously snotty. The real world will dash his stupid views against the rocks one day but for now he's streaming from his mommy's house she stole in the divorce. Cheers!
I played stuff like Duke Nukem, Doom, Quake, Castle Wolfenstein in the 1990s and all it gave me was an enhanced appreciation of the purposeless of existence. And gee, you had me thinking you were maybe a decade or so older, maybe its your demeanor and beard, or your mature scholarly approach to art.
Hahahahaha! Doom and duke nukem are not gonna be well received with the bunnies and rainbows crowd here.
@@WilcoxNotreallythere what why? never played duke nukem but doom is a pretty good game lol
@@woomygfx they have right wing themes. Nukem way more overt than doom.
@@WilcoxNotreallythere like? doom comes from punk/rock culture which is one of the foundations of the leftist/anarchist movement during the 80's lol
I had no idea this game was so BASED
Um yes please
Best video title on youtube?
Damn. Soon enough he'll be reviewing frozen food
Video title: How Pajama Sam Made Me A Leftist
44:38 : Did the game make me a leftist? I don't think so
COME ON 🤣 don't do me dirty like this
"How Listening to Tupac made me a Crypto facist Flat-eather"
It’s spelt “pyjama”.
Graham’s whole world is going to crumble when he learns that “pyjama” is spelt “pajama” in America

No, if it doesn’t bother you that you’ve got it wrong, I can assure you it doesn’t bother me!

Oh hell yeah
Left: “That wasn’t real Communism.”
Right: “Everything. Everything was perfect.”
Big brother won't tolerate dissent. Get back in the bread line.
I wish my childhood games were like this, I would have turned out a better and more educated person sooner. I grew up on the mobile GTAs and other edgy stuff and I was a piece of shit for so long, maybe still am.
Most young people(less than 24~) nowadays are like this, there was cute and wholesome stuff for children when we were children but for some reason that was the start of children watching stuff they should not at all be watching. My childhood wasnt that bad tho i still watched really good stuff and played really good children games
Yg5ò
to think earth would never be divided into property... the naivete
Oh no wonder I hear soy in your voice
sounds like youre afraid of something. therapy can help with your problem
You can hear food? You might want to get that checked out.
I hear It too man.
Damn, posting the hottest insult of 2016 lol
Damn now I can’t unhear it he talks like a female
>Pajama Sam fails to adress the problem of fascism and authoritarianism in any serious way
Because it's a game for ages 3-8 to allow them to train creative and logical thinking through imaginative worlds and silly premises, not a political theory.
Cringe
It's still political commentary, so it needs to be critiqued for it's shortcomings.
Love the channel. Great videos. Trump 2024
You are a leftist?! NOOO!!!
