This is a shorts video going over why I ordered a Tesla and whether or not you should buy a tesla now. Tesla very recently lowered their prices significantly which makes them more accessible. Tesla can also take advantage of the new EV tax credit in the US, so should you buy a tesla now?

Why does everyone HATE Tesla in 2023??
ua-cam.com/video/n3VUuXWLXak/v-deo.html
Laughing bc I ordered my MYLR in Jan ‘22 & took delivery in Sep. As an “All In Roth” investor, I’m fine with whatever price differences have ensued. I’m good with Elon replicating Henry Ford’s “Model T” strategy to now corner the EV market. Power on Tesla & let’s hold back at least 5%, ok?
Because they can’t afford to buy one
what happened to the old buyers before the price drop do they return it or what lol and then buy new lower priced ?
@@codykrecicki brother i would rather get a lexus instead of a tesla. (my dad did this) bcuz tesla has ass range and also mazda is literally same price and better build waulity (my uncle did this)

Yes I got it way back in February. Model Y Performance.
DO IT
Just bought a Model Y and prefer it over the Model 3, you can carry more stuff with a Model Y in basically the same footprint with little range hit overall.
And practically the same amount of power. The Model 3 Performance 0-60 is 0.4 seconds faster than a Model Y Performance, it's basically a wash.
@Jordan Contortion Fan Site tbh all teslas look the same but the only differences are the size, headlights and taillights
@@Superman-xr1oh model 3 also has a higher top speed
Great choice!
The model 3 feels cheap
If you trade in a gas car in Colorado you can get a RWD Model 3 for under $20k after incentives.
What incentives and what dealership? Only for Colorado residents? I don’t live in Colorado but would be willing to go there to buy it, do the incentives still apply?
@@DarlingnikI also want to know
No you have to be a Colorado resident to get those incentives
Then we would have to buy the customary apple watch so we fit the meme of being a tech dork. I'm good on that

Naaaa, With a (long range) of 570 miles and 40 to 50 bucks to fill up (once a month) at 3 to 5 minutes, not 20 minutes or 20 hours , I'll keep my jaguar XJl. 41 thousand dollars, its paid off and a full size luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make.
Got myself a white Model 3 last week. I am loving it. Joined the EV bandwagon since Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt!
Old Tesla owners are like “why didn’t I sell mine a year ago!”
The tesla model s plaid was 160k last year and now 85k. Model 3 is 20k. Biggest cost of owning a tesla is depreciation. Every average joe in the world has one now, its over saturated. Talk about depreciating assets at a historic rate. People don't realize a car thats depreciating that bad is not a good thing. What will it cost 3 years from now?
@user-my4xu4gf1z we get it your sad , that's the cost of buying "tech" look what happened to vcr dvds an tvs they all become penny's on a dollar.
DVD don't cost $100K
@SafeEffective-ls2pl same difference, tech is always going get old an better no matter the price. There will always be a shelf life
@@G82Wattsit's not depreciation they are reducing costs and passing them on to the consumers every single company would do the same if they weren't forced to sell through dealerships that only exist to rob the customers. Every single car would cost probably 10k less minimum if they used teslas model of sales. And overall teslas retain more value than gas cars because they aren't wearing themselves out (other than the batteries that last a long time and are under warranty until 100k miles) and you can trust buying a used one much more because it's easier to know the maintenance schedule was kept when there is very little maintenance required.
I would go for a 3 as well. Wow that drop is crazy!
@Elon Musk I haven't kept up in that regard. I'm glad you are no longer dating Amber Heard. Blessings.

UPDATE: my Model 3 is scheduled for pick up on Jan 30th🔥That’s just 2 weeks from when I submitted my order online, the turnaround is insane!
Nice!! I’m sure you are excited. I ordered a Y and it came in 9 days. I love the extra room in the Y but I know what you mean with the 3. Can’t go wrong you will love it. As a “grown up” there hasn’t been anything that gets me so excited I can’t sleep, but the days before my Y came in I hardly slept with how excited I was. It was definitely the night before Christmas feeling like when I was a kid 😂😂.
Good for you… still waiting for my MYLR7 I ordered in April 2022…

Never buy more than what you need. Take the extra money that you would’ve spent on the model Y and invest it. Cheers!
Today is the day, congrats!:)
I bought my red model 3 RWD last month from existing inventory. it was discounted by almost 5k. and I got 6 months of free supercharging with 3 months of full self-driving.
I drove a model 3 and Y 2 days ago & have been fighting with the devil & angel on my shoulder LOL. The Y is the better deal but the 3 is so slick! Also, the $7500 is NOT a refund! You have to owe $ to take advantage
State rebate and sale tax exemption is instantly saving
@@davidz7858 state rebate? There’s sales tax on my order form. So you’re saying that they will refund me the sales tax on the model 3?
Yes, I think it’s $2,500 rebate for California. And you get $500 from Edison. California state taxes…I don’t know about that. Tesla should find out and educate people about it more.

Just remember the tax credit is a credit and not a refund. The credit really doesn’t bring down the MSRP.
You’re still technically getting a discount
If you owe taxes, it could be crazy beneficial.
If your taxes are enough it's pretty much cash
So I drive a 2018 Tesla model 3 and so my opinion based on my purchase is biased, as I am absolutely thrilled to be the owner of a Tesla model 3 L/Range dual motor with FSD. So for the money, a Tesla model 3 is the best value, as few people need the larger capacity that you get in a model Y.

Even with the prices going down, most people finance and when looking at your monthly payment, the cost of a Tesla is the same as it was 2 years ago when rates were lower.
Not if you pay cash 😊
Go with the model Y! The extra space is definitely necessary! Also hatchback is great… And the seat for the model Y is much more comfortable. You’ll be glad you did it!
I was just going to test drive a tesla, after the test drive I ended up buying one! So far its great!
Nice which model did you end up going with?
What about now
Well. I personally would pick the model Y because you get more range, more room, faster acceleration, stuff like that. (For base model). And it’s more expensive but not by too much. However I think the model 3 looks much nicer than the Y. I think the Y is the ugliest Tesla. It’s not terrible looking but it’s not pretty. I love my current model 3 but I think I’ll switch to a Y this year
Faster? I think the model 3 is faster

What do you mean worked with Tesla? They don't bargain. And what upgrades are there? Real leather seats? Ventilated seats? Rear climate control? Blindspot monitoring?
I prefer the model 3 aesthetically but the lack of a blinker stalk is a dealbreaker for me. Also the Y is more practical and cheaper with the tax credits.
Bought a blue model y. The performance y didn’t qualify for the tax credit.
I wonder if Tesla goofed up on that. The Model 3 Performance qualifies, so I don't know why they didn't lower the Model Y Performance to the $55k threshold.

Ev tax credit isn't a direct discount on the pricing of the car.
The majority of middle-class workers are not owing the government $7,500 in taxes at the end of the year to fully benefit from the credit. It is a non-refundable tax credit, meaning you don't get that money paid to you.
I'm glad you posted this. So many people don't know or understand this.
It's perfect for middle class contractors and business owners, that's the reason that I'm getting one.
If you don’t make enough to have a big enough tax liability in order to take full advantage of the $7,500 tax credit, you got no business buying a car this expensive.
Realistically, filing single with no dependents you only need around 55k income in order to have the EV tax credit offset your liabilities, thus getting all of your federal withholding refunded that year.
Make you check to ensure you can actually qualify for energy tax incentive as the requirements are slightly changing
