People sometimes tell me that I have a talent being a normal everyday pilot, however, you my friend have an accomplished first-rate skill. Woodwork is what I wish to do when I retire in 3 years, and I have gained so much knowledge from your content. Another job well done. Cheers John.
One bit of advice for you is focus on your ability to hone your woodworking skills with basic tools, hand tools and sharpening skills. One problem with UA-cam is everyone is showing off and they seem to have an endless supply of extremely expensive tools. I've met so many people who believe that anything can be replicated if they just buy that expensive fad tool. Remember that modern civilization was built through learning and simple hand tools from hundreds of years ago.
G' Day mate Greetings from Croatia Great job as always I have a question, your opinion and anyone who's reading this Im about to build a big huge church door And im thinking make it hollow for the weight sake, something like a house frame out of wood, then put some 2 +inch thick wooden panels around it. Stractualy is sound but im woried about condesation and creating some water inside etc., and get a problems later What are your toughts Thanks
Haha, I think I commented on another video, as when I commented, yours ended, and another video started. It's great to watch you from start to where you are now and how you're becoming a master at your craft. Question: What screws do you use for your furniture? Keep up the hard work, you show others, hard work pays off.
Hey Sean. Love that piece. It fascinates me how you work out how to execute a design feature so accurately like the curves that meet the legs. I Would have without doubt messy that right up. I personally love the execution of each process bringing each small chunk of work to create the whole. Btw not a fan of shorts videos no time to actually focus on anything. Imho.
Thanks so much mate! I really appreciate that. I agree it’s nice seeing the wood change over time and seeing all the bits come together. Thanks for your opinion on shorts 👌
When you use your sander to work in the finish with the white pad, how do you stop the finish gumming up and ruining the Velcro backing pad of the sander??
Not a wood working question as such but which head phones/ear defenders do you recommend for wood working? I think I notice 3 different types in this video so figure you might know a thing or two! 😊
Most woods will darken, but definitely using the pigmented rubio will hide that, plus you can always add another coat down the line if you want to lighten it up again.
Hey Sean, amazing work as always ! Was wondering if you trusted screws in endgrain enough to be the only joinery? Big fan, thanks for sharing your work and experience !
Hey! Thanks a lot. Yes I definitely trust them, they were 100mm long so have a lot of material to grip onto. Plus when you drill an appropriate size pilot hole then they are incredibly strong. Screws loose a lot of strength when they are taken in and out because the wood fibres are shredded and torn away. But these screws will never be taken out so no need to worry about that.
Absolutely beautiful table! I am currently working on a similar project and the part I enjoy the most is putting all the parts together and seeing the final product coming to life. This is the first video I watched from your channel and I enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thank you for your work! God bless you!
Very nice work. At the top of each leg there are three dark discs. Every other element is long and thin. Idea came to me, inlay a rectangle or long triangle to cover the screw heads.

Thank you John for your very nice comment! That made my day! I'm thrilled I have taught you some things and you get value from my videos.

That is a stunning build! Great video in explaining how you go about making it. Your skill is awesome!

Really stunning! Sophisticated design with beautiful wood choices. Excellent execution.
Thank you very much! Means a lot!
As usual totally blown away. I love the contracting woods and the curves. I prefer the longer videos. Thanks Sean really interesting vid.
Thanks a lot mate, glad you liked it. I appreciate the support! Thuya burl might be my new favourite wood ahah
Great job :) love the leg bottoms :)
I love joinery, and milling cutting to size :) :)
Thanks Damian! I think that’s my favourite feature of the table as well.

Thank you for the support mate. It means a lot. I’ve used Spax, WoodSpur and Screw Tite. All of them are high quality.

Absolutely amazing such beautiful detail in the design, and accent pieces. I love as the pieces come together and you see the art work come too life.
Hey Jim! I really appreciate that, thank you! Ahh you're like me, funniest part of the build!
When you use your sander to work in the finish with the white pad, how do you stop the finish gumming up and ruining the Velcro backing pad of the sander??
I use a pad saver to keep it clean

Hi Daniel, I like 3m ear defender the best. Their Bluebooth worktunes is fantastic in my opinion.
I actually like the whole process.
I am curious, my experience with cherry is it keeps getting richer. You think the Rubio helps mitigate that?
Most woods will darken, but definitely using the pigmented rubio will hide that, plus you can always add another coat down the line if you want to lighten it up again.
That is a stunning design, brilliantly executed. A pleasure to watch :)
Thank you Mike! I really appreciate that!
That is a good looking table! Well done, and beautifully designed and executed.
Thank you Joe!

@@SeanEvelegh 👍🏻 Thanks 👍🏻 will definitely add to the list of possibilities in the future
I watch a lot of woodworking videos and that is one of the most impressive things I've seen
Wow, that's very high praise! Thank you so much!
my favorite part of a project is handing it to the client or family member i made it for and seeing there reaction.
That’s very true! You’ve changed my mind. That is the funniest part!
That’s really nice!!!
Thank you David!

Hey mate, Welcome to the channel! I'm thrilled you learnt something and I'm looking forward to showing you more videos!
Another great table. Good Job
Thank you Gerhard!
Hello from Texas ..
Hello 👋
Looks awesome!! Great job!! I like all the steps of a project, with sanding being the least favorite.
Cheers Chris! thanks for the support. I think the only way sanding is fun, is if you have an industrial thickness sander! ahah
Amazing!!!
Thank you 🙏
My favorite part of a project is final fit up. Stunning table
Thank you Jill! I agree with the final fit up 👍
Very nice work. At the top of each leg there are three dark discs. Every other element is long and thin. Idea came to me, inlay a rectangle or long triangle to cover the screw heads.
Thanks Tony, that's an interesting idea, inlaying a larger piece to cover all three holes with one inlay. I might try it in the future!
