Varun is like that kid in class who can't stop himself from saying something funny each time the teacher screws up to the point where he eventually gets himself thrown out. I loved that guy in school. ❤️
To introduce myself, I came to Denmark after marrying my then Danish boyfriend. Got divorced in 2012, finished my master degree in German linguistics, got a job in the Indian embassy and stayed here. Today i have a place of my own, got 2 kittens called Machu Pichhu. You're most welcome to my place, lots and lots of love to each one of you. Invitation extended to your partners of course ❤
Jokes from public, esp in single screen theaters is most fun experience. Sometimes jokes or taunt lines are so hillarious that it is paisa vasool moment.
1:09:00 Kautuk: these two twins, Ursula and..... Me: Phoebe....phoebe...c'mon it's right there. Someone say Phoebe. Varun channeling his inner Chandler: could you BE more swedish? Nice
My best theatre experience is watching Batman vs Superman (DC) in it the scene where Superman floating in space after hitting by nuclear missile, a ray of sunlight hits him and starts healing, exact that point guy behind me shouts "JAI SHREE RAM" 😆😄😄😄
I loved watching conversation on Parsi food, I was instantly connected because As a being Gujarati moved to Canada, I was fortunate enough to taste Authentic Iranian Food in Canada and Parsi Food in Gujarat. Both cousins are different but still intersects with each other at core of food. Fun fact: Thanks to Persian, India got it’s baking skills.
When Varun asked Bawa what his favorite Parsi dish was I yelled out khichadi and suss while I was doing laundry... now my parents think I've lost it :)
Aadar is usually lost, unprepared and doesn’t contribute enough like the others. He also just reads up facts but these are not well researched or really relevant to the discussion most of the time…
The folklore has different versions across regions which makes me believe they did happen, but over multiple timelines. Off the top now is the Sikh household monks, who returned a rice-filled-to-the-brim kalash with a rose petal on top, while joining a monk clan stating we wont be a burden.
Speaking of movie going experiences: 1. I remember I watched "Badhai Ho" (Aayushman movie) in AMC Empire 25 (the theater right besides New York Times Square), where there was one homeless American guy sitting in the first row of the theater. At first me and my gf were scared as it looked like that person was there in that movie theater for a while and looked scary. I didn't know how much he understood the movie but every time there was a joke in the movie and other NRIs in the movie theater laughed, he laughed with us. Well, if Bollywood is bringing smile to faces of homeless people in New York, maybe something is great about that industry, right? 2. Another one was watching "Zero" (SRK movie) in this old theater in Flushing, NY, known as "Bombay Theater". That theater reminded me of "Gaiety Galaxy", it even had the similar samosas.
Grateful for another episode of The Internet Said So, a show where they take random interesting shocking weird absurd facts stats trivia and personal stories and they talk about it. Happy TISSday. BELLBODDUM. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Its like watching a trailer that tells you most of the story - then there's no point going for the movie. That's how this ad section feels. But 100% agree to go to the movies to watch Dune :)
@Dhoklaaa here's a urban dictionary definition of it- WHAT DOES HOLD MY BEER MEAN? Hold my beer is an expression joked about being said before an unthinking person does something dangerous or stupid. On the internet, hold my beer is used to make fun of decisions (that are seen to be bad) made by public figures or companies. In this context it means Varun being legend in theater experiences
Sindhis have the same story dude of mixing salt/sugar in a glass of water.. when sindhis were asked if they need a separate state, they did the same metaphorical thing.. atleast that is what I have been told bachpan se 😂
So glad to listen to you all talk about super hero movies....if my son had been alive he would have been having the same discussion.... ❤️❤️ Love you guys....this was my son's favourite podcast!
Since its a paid promotion by SONY India, no wonder they said good things about the movie...Honest review is that its a Crap movie with Crap Story..CG looks generic and keeping it PFG-13 killed the movie...Loved the chemistry between Venom and Eddie but it is repetitive of first movie...Carnage was a disappointment. End credit scene is amazing but its definitely out of place for what SONY had plan to do initially. Avoid this movie in theater if possible. Stream it later

Varun Thakur,'' It's the New Old format which is Brand New '' is the same like Apple removing fundamental ports from their MacBooks and then adding it back again a few years later and calling it Brand New design.
I can completely relate to the nostalgia of single screens. I have grown up seeing movies in G7 and Chandan as well and it's a completely different experience. I remember going for Simmba to gaiety on the day it released. After dropping me, my rickshaw guy bought a ticket as well and entered with me😂 with the kind of movie that it was, there is no better atmosphere than the one created by single screen cinemas to see the same. To cap it all, Ranveer Singh was outside the theatre dancing on the parapet once we got done with the show. Hands down one of the best movie experiences. I hope people going to G7 remember the Anil Kapoor look-alike usher who has been there forever.
Had anyone noticed at G7, between 2000-2007, there was an usher who was an Anil Kapoor lookalike... damn funny but had an uncanny resemblance to AK! And he was inside ushering people to their seats... always while wearing dark shades and a red handkerchief tied around his neck :D However my preference was always Chandan... the food at G7 was soggy & pathetic... Chandan's A1 Samosas were the best.
Varun in every episode : " Main baat kar raha hoon..mujhe goosebump aara h " .
43:10 I clearly remember watching The Nun in the theatre. Someone shouted O Stree Kal Aana 🤣🤣. Uske baad I just couldn't take that old lady seriously.
I would have laughed hysterically at that through the rest of the movie usko yaad kar kar ke. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Don't you guys walk around underestimating Aadar's importance. To compensate for his absence, the boys had to organize two comedians.
