- In 2022/23, the food was pricey, the atmosphere was dreadful, and we thought the view was absolutely appalling. Has it improved for 2023/24? Our Away Day Review league table is slowly filling up, so after our trip to West Ham, we analyse the London Stadium away experience and enter it onto our league table - where will it rank? To help us calculate this, we rate:

Have we been harsh here?
As a Villa fan I was at the London Stadium last week. I thought the atmosphere was awful. Even our usual loud away following struggled because the lower section were isolated by this huge empty concourse from the upper section. The walk from Stamford to the ground was outrageous. A soulless stadium.
Hi guys love your show.just a freindly suggestion when doing your away day show why not put last seasons position in brackets so we can see where applicable if a club has improved their facilities or not.paul from australia..keep up the great work lads.
Great idea. I think we find it tough as we had a different scoring system last time however we will keep this in mind!
Always enjoy the away day shows - I watch previous season shows before I travel and enjoy then watching the current away day reviews after I’ve been to the stadium. Keep up the good work 😊
As you say, it depends on the game and the style of play etc... when we play in europe the atmosphere can be really good, but in these type of games its never going to get a high score.. good luck for rest of the season AFCB.. ⚒️
The atmosphere is poor due to acoustics: The speed of sound is too slow and the stadium is too huge. Impossible for fans to sing together as by the time they can hear the other side signing they are 2 seconds behind.
It’s such a shame because Upton Park was amazing but been to London stadium a few times it’s so so poor. Makes me never want to move from Elland road (obv Leeds fan) grass most definitely is not greener!
Love the video chaps, the Noise when Callum skipped past 4 defenders in 2018 to score was excellent....from us Chezzers anyway 🤣

Hi guys great video as usual. I’ve said before a lot of my family are West Ham fans and the main problem with atmosphere is that basically you have too many sections of Fans spread out trying to sing.
Near the Left hand side there’s a group of say 200 who try and create noise and then, to the left of the away fans another group of say 600 who try the same and then a group who stand of about 1500 by the right hand corner flag. If they put all the fans together then it would create an atmosphere. The other thing is it’s too easy to buy tickets. Fans who support Man U Liverpool Arsenal go and buy season tickets so they can see there team and watch premier league every week in london. They don’t care about West Ham. I went to the game against Arsenal a few weeks ago and around where I was sitting there was 100s of arsenal fans

As a West Ham fan the atmosphere is weird asf, I sit in the disabled section but in all fairness it’s actually pretty loud, but when there away end is a marathon away from the home end the away bunch can’t here it. Would love to see severe development (if they could even do it!!!!)

All away games are capped at £30.

unfortunately the football is shit ,the fan base is split over the manager and the stadium is not fit for football,ive been a west ham fan over 50 years and i will not go to the olympic shit hole
Boys, I am not being ridiculous here. But what is the need for this? As West Ham fans we aren’t happy with a lot of things right now and stuff like this is so unnecessary. It’s causes further toxicity which you’re just adding fuel to the fire. Personally, I think a video like this is slightly out of order considering we played each other nearly 2 months ago.
Despite their moans about the London Stadium, at least we allow away fans over 3000 tickets in the Premier League. How many do we get at Bournemouth, about 1200? That’s nonsense. I think we should start allowing allocations like for like. Leverkusen are only allowing us 1700 at the Bay Arena, whereas we are giving them the whole end of about 6000! It’s madness.

We are a Bournemouth fan channel with 15,000 subscribers, reviewing every away day, including West Ham.
If you genuinely feel as though a video like this, with a viewership of less than 5% of your stadium size will increase toxicity within your fanbase, then I am honestly quite flattered at how you have elevated the importance of our opinions.
Unfortunately we are tied to a percentage. Once our new stadium is built this will increase.
@@afcbpodcast It’s not ridiculous though is it? Let’s be honest here, you don’t like the stadium, we don’t like the stadium. No one likes the stadium, yet as a fan base we are constantly reminded of it. You one week, Villa the next, the week after someone else. It’s been 6/7 years now since we’ve moved in, get over it. You go twice a year, if you’re lucky and not dipping out the premier league. I appreciate you review every single away game in the premier league but this is an unnecessary swipe at West Ham
