- Mass Effect New Earth opened to the public on 5/18/16 and had a media day the day prior. This attraction is located in the newly refurbished AFX Theater which originally opened showing Days of Thunder in the early 90s and had seen several other ride films since.
Mass Effect New Earth features the world's largest and highest definition LED screen capable of stereoscopic 3D provided by 3D Live and new (comfy) 4-across motion-based seats by MediaMation.
Mass Effect New Earth is based off the popular video game franchise and is among the first video game themed attractions.
Press footage provided by California's Great America, in-theater recordings taken with permission from the park.
Missed a serious chance to have a Commander Shepard impersonator come out and say "My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite ride at Great America."
My son and I love this ride. Such a wasted opportunity not having a gift shop for this attraction. I'd basically just throw my wallet at them.
Imagine it, figures on your favorite characters and ship models
I would love this to be an expansion similar to Star Wars galaxy’s edge attraction with venues and shops and restaurants. Something out of this world.
Probably the last time we'll ever see Garrus and Wrex again. 😪
I hope that wont be the case in mass effect 5 where u probably get to play as him one day, I dunno
I've been on this simply put it was an amazing ride
Really? I hated it.
Chamomile Tea why did you hate it it’s nice. Also I’d rather they have rides like these than nothing or just roller coasters.
@@melaniegarcia3158 I know exactly how u feel on this, its boring and underwhelming a wasted space, I'm glad that in 2033 this will be gone
This is just like Star Tours. :)
Cool. :)
I know right! Now I don't have to drive 6 hours to Disneyland just to experience star tours!
I know but I love rids. :)
Seems far more of a performance, though. Gotta have a good host, lol.
I NEEEEED ITTTTTT
I finally got to see what was behind it. That's why I saw a few big pixels on the screen
did u hear that one woman yell "awkward" I agree with her
Just got the legendary edition and I was Blown away
its just too bad that this is an underwhelming ride
i went on this ride like 2 times XD i hate the part where u get sprayed with water and the smells of dirt
Lazy Bear saaammee that was the worst fucking part it stinked sm
omg and thats the same guy who hosted in this video
yet this ride is not gonna make it to 2033
Need to make it out to CA to try this out!
Looks like the same tech from the Star Trek experience, when it was at Las Vegas.
I rode this with my girl friend.
Did you pull her into the room and say “report to the ship as soon as possible, We’ll bang ok?”
When you smell the dragon breath

guitar gaming who would
Sucks that this epic park is shutting down for good unreal. Ok seriously this is what replaced days of thunder why just why
good reddens cuz this ride looks boring
My host was a female
I went on this ‘ride’ when I went to Great America CA today. It was horrible. I hated it. It gave me a full on panic attack. I was hyperventilating, crying, shaking, and was curled up into a little ball screaming in the front row. I definitely don’t recommend it. They sprayed water at us, which got in my mouth, and things were grabbing my feet. (This was before I curled into a ball). It also smelled horrible in there, to the point that I couldn’t breathe at all. The two people that I went on it with were also screaming and crying. I definitely don’t recommend it. The lady that was instructing it was amazing, she was so nice and happy and excited to be there. But the ride itself was terrible.
Sounds like you need to keep to the spinning cups and train rides.
all of what you just said made it seem like the ride was awesome, just that your a little baby and can't handle it lmao
Chamomile Tea you probably have special needs or something because the ride is awesome. I remember when I got in the King Kong ride at universal studios and this kid who had special needs was just screaming and crying throughout the way, even after the ride was over he was still panicking and what not while his caregiver or mom was trying to calm him. We all looked at him with pity even though the ride felt ruined with him there. I could imagine you doing the same there. Next time just ride the baby rides and stay close to mommy.
Jesus Christ, don't go to theme parks if you can't even handle a video screen with moving chairs. I'd hate to go anywhere with you.
@@miroku888 even the grand opening is bad, the fireworks during the day is awful u cant see the colors even the crowd isnt exited enough
