I enjoyed the new tool album, but didn't love it, also didn't like the APC record. My taste in music hasn't changed all too much except that there really just isn't much at all enjoyable to listen to in 2022 :/ maybe it's me and not the world, but idk
@@user-co4xl7wx3q There is good music out there. It's crazy how much delivery method has changed since then. There are so many niche categories. But if you like TOOL you will like Polyphia 💜
Yeah it sure is Maynard on the Vocal with Tim Alex (Primus) & Mike Bordin (FNM) backing him up double time with their drums. "Choked" is featured in the 97' VA album which is called Flyin Traps & it is also listed in the Ultra Rare Trax bootleg album of Tool. About Indigo Children, well it is definitely composed, sung & written by Puscifer (solo project of MJK) & appears on 3 different albums of Puscifer which are: V is for Viagra, Viagra Remixes (JLE Mix) & D is for Dubby (the Dub Children).
Now that I have a chance to respond, I found this off of limewire and the title was puscifer choked, and i hadnt seen it on any record for puscifer, so considering my sources for a title i am in no way sure where this comes from or if its even affiliated with puscifer, but i know it is with maynard but nonetheless its a kick ass song, thanx for viewing :o )
Just want to post some clarifying details here. This is not Puscifer and a bunch of comments are claiming Maynard and Les Claypool are in this track, which they of course are not. I just purchased this album and the track information is as follows from the slip inside the CD case: 12. Tim Alexander & Mike Bordin / Choked (T. Alexander) Stick Music - BMI Tim Alexander: Drums, Guitar, Bass Guitar, E-Bow and Percussion Gaylord C.: Voice Produced by Tim Alexander Recorded and mixed by Tim Alexander at Log Cabin and My Garage Mike Bordin appears courtesy of Slash Records Gaylord C. appears courtesy of Volcano Entertainment Tim Alexander appears in courtesy of Interscope Records
I saw laundry (which is basically Tim Alexander on drums and vocals) play this song live back in '99 when they were openin for APC in San Francisco at the warfield I think it was. That was the second time I saw APC play. The first was at a club called Slim's in San Francisco in late '98 before the first CD came out. They did a small 3-4 show tour up the coast of CA. I was one of maybe 40 people there and Maynard was still having to read lyrics every once in a while to make sure it was right.
This is from the cd Flyin' Traps: Stereo Drums it's not a Puscifer song! indeed it´s called Choked - it features Tim Alexander & Mike Bordin on drums Maynard on vocals and Les Claypool on bass ;)
Well that's definitely Maynard chanting, and it's most certainly Danny Carey on the drums there... Can't be too certain that it's actually Tool though. It's very different if it is. This song is most often labelled as Tool, anyway. Tool - Choked
@bluephreakr Actually it was work by Tim Alexander (Primus) and Mike Bordin (Faith No More) featuring Maynard on background vocals. It's just more of Tim Alexander's solo work. There...You're proven otherwise.
anyone know where i can find music with the percussion and the singing like that?i love metal music with that type of stuff in it. is there a name for it?
Because all people who like tool are all alike.. and all people who don't like tool are all alike... Seriously guys, if someone doesn't like it, let them have their opinion. I thought a big part of tool was to encourage you to "think for yourself", so do the same for the people that don't like it and let them THINK FOR THEMSELVES. Of course, that'd make sense and so few people do when it comes to understanding other people's taste...
I think this just may be a Tim Alexander w/ Maynard endeavor. Perhaps from before Puscifer became a formal entity, but after 'Puscifer' was used casually as sort of an all encompassing term for certain Maynard side projects. In any case, this song is obviously awesome.
@wifflum well to be fair, lada gaga is pretty intelligent herself. but she makes music to please the masses, not to please herself like what maynard does with himself
music is a form a release and a means to tap the inner being stop using it as a means to fight over who is the better musician or a god or what not there is no god or devil there is only what you make your life out to be
@Nerianae its not a color thing if thats your guestion...truth is good or bad regardless of opinion or view or angle or perspective or position...that groove for u?
This is Puscifer, and since Maynard is the lead singer for Tool as well as the person behind Puscifer, I think he's aloud to make a song that sounds a bit like Tool.
ive also seen this song under Tools name but really it's someone else with maynard in the background chanting chanting so it's neither puscifer or Tool
Either way - no good will come of this, because I have attacked peoples' belief structure(s) on the Internet... and we all know how THESE types of things turn out.
@Lateraenimate Uh, I don't think it's wrong to think of someone as highly is that. The way you worded your comment makes me think thatyou think people actually considered him a god. Exageration is a possible thing, you know.
@wifflum Actually, you'd be surprised by how smart lady gaga really is. Think about it, how could a dumb person sell their talent? lady gaga used to play piano and sing beautifully, my aunt saw her in concert way before she was on the devils puppet strings. maynard says he's not qualified to be a teacher, so we just gotta take what we can get from his words. Because that's what music is, relating and drawing our own conclusions. And hes a musician above all. Not a prophet.
@Lateraenimate you mad bro? seems like your mad...you also tend to forget that of 20th/21st century entertainers Maynard has often more valid and logical view points than other people (see Bono, for instance) and isn't hung up on trying to save the world. Don't be mad
anyone who's seen Maynard live knows he isn't a great performer, in the sense of a front man. I believe him to be an artist to the greatest extent in anything he does including his music and wine making. He is a brilliant man and a deep thinker
Not what that person ment by that last statement on the comment. I think you need to go back over that one again, Person said and I quote "Theres a pretty MASSIVE Intellectual difference between Maynard and say...Lady Gaga." Meaning that Maynard has more smarts in his in-grown toe-nail than lady gaga will ever know or understand. She is the performer, Not Maynard. Maynard is A lot smarter than that.
This was made by Tool, not Puscifer. And if you think calling it rare and calling it Puscifer's track would give you more views... sadly you're right. But don't spread misinformation around for your own gain. It just makes you look bad when the truth is revealed.
After 12 years.. how much has your music taste changed?
Still love tool, puscifer, apc and every similar band so... not much lol
I enjoyed the new tool album, but didn't love it, also didn't like the APC record. My taste in music hasn't changed all too much except that there really just isn't much at all enjoyable to listen to in 2022 :/ maybe it's me and not the world, but idk

Cheers to 143k people...Life ain't so bad sometimes..I am pumped,let's fckn jam!!!!
It's Maynard with Primus drummer "Tim Alexander" and Ozzy's Mike Bordin
@Lateraenimate Just a godly performer. You're right, and so are the masses.
This is the most Tool like Puscifer song.
yeah tool is friggin sweet cept they have some creepy songs like lost keys it makes me think im goin crazy
Now that I have a chance to respond, I found this off of limewire and the title was puscifer choked, and i hadnt seen it on any record for puscifer, so considering my sources for a title i am in no way sure where this comes from or if its even affiliated with puscifer, but i know it is with maynard but nonetheless its a kick ass song, thanx for viewing :o )

this is actually pretty fucking cool
I love this fantastic song!

tribal drums, I'm sold!
@bluephreakr Actually it was work by Tim Alexander (Primus) and Mike Bordin (Faith No More) featuring Maynard on background vocals. It's just more of Tim Alexander's solo work. There...You're proven otherwise.
@Lateraenimate You're such a rebel - going against the grain and shit. Can I be cool like you one day, Mister?
Soundtrack of my nightmares :D
I'm gonna have to go with everyone else: This is Les Claypool my friend.
Sepultura feel. Good Tribe.
anyone know where i can find music with the percussion and the singing like that?i love metal music with that type of stuff in it. is there a name for it?
hey just commenting to remind you of this
@22TribeFullBack22
I was gonna ask who did the drums too,, sounds so like a Danny rhythm
this sounds more like Primus
Your correct. They both made this track. Well I know for sure the basest and the drummer.
these are claypool loops in here, no doubt, tim alexander works with mjk on this project, so that might have something to do with it
Because all people who like tool are all alike.. and all people who don't like tool are all alike... Seriously guys, if someone doesn't like it, let them have their opinion. go go this is the best vid oh yea man sweet man make more
yep this song if even on the puscifer website
I agree.
but the point i was making is that it's not actually tool.
@w26895 this song IS featured on the Puscifer website..
I think this just may be a Tim Alexander w/ Maynard endeavor. Perhaps from before Puscifer became a formal entity, but after 'Puscifer' was used casually as sort of an all encompassing term for certain Maynard side projects. In any case, this song is obviously awesome.
I don't know where to start so I will just end it with MAYNARD for President
please read through the comments
"this song has mjk as a 'guest' on this track by tim alexander & mike mordin - "flyin' traps" in 1997"
haven't heard this in a long time
Its not tool, but maynard is the lead singer. it is on a puscifer album
GOOD !!!
@RowboCaup yes ! your correct! but its on pucifer's website...
I heard this in the past, but it was listed as a tool song. Damn you limewire....
I'll go with "rockstar prophet"
When i vote I usually write in a rebel's name in the "other" spot on the ballot. I normally vote for Jesus though
Havent even heard the song but your comment rocks!
2nd that maynard for president
Definitely Herb on drums - not Danny. All the flavor of old-school Primus with Maynard's tech/tribal - love it!
quite informative. oO
That is how its pronounced. >.>
If Maynard was in primus, green jelly 30 years later? Fuck Lol
@Lateraenimate
.....nah, he's a god
@OmnisOrtus tim alexander right?

@ASXCyphin totally agree man. just basic self respect.
limewire
Anything I've seen or downloaded this on is all labeled as Tool. No matter who it is though, it's a good song.
@hip2dwise Why is the truth black and white?
This is Puscifer, and since Maynard is the lead singer for Tool as well as the person behind Puscifer, I think he's aloud to make a song that sounds a bit like Tool.
i download tool off iso hunt but i eventually buy the cd for the same reasons
It's like korn tht pops into tool.. Mjk all day !
Does the riff in the beginning sound like queens of the stone age?
"Song for the deaf - Queens of the Stone Age"
@w26895 cool. so what's the name of the song? Choke? And whats the name of the band..... I'd appreciate some feedback!
ive also seen this song under Tools name but really it's someone else with maynard in the background chanting chanting so it's neither puscifer or Tool
@Lateraenimate Finally.
Tool is the only band I don't download. I want them to get money, to keep producing more music. Damn all of you who go download Tool off limewire.
@CptShiner1 that's what I was wondering.
you can down load it off frostwire just search puscifer
Happenin'
@M1105X i'll show you the difference between my gun and my pistol
Either way - no good will come of this, because I have attacked peoples' belief structure(s) on the Internet... and we all know how THESE types of things turn out.
Edit: Even if this is labeled as Puscifer, it's still Tool. So it all wins. Look up Puscifer on wikipedia. Maynard made it.
positive that's tim alex? sounds like carry on some symbols
Oh my... is that Ler Lalonde playing guitar?
lipan conjouring..........
@x4aperfecttool yep
Incubus owns.
you if you all knew tool or MJK you would know that pucifer isnt jsut one band and he started pucifer in the 90's
@Lateraenimate
Uh, I don't think it's wrong to think of someone as highly is that. The way you worded your comment makes me think thatyou think people actually considered him a god. Exageration is a possible thing, you know.
@TheCrystalRiver puscifer - 100%
I want to download it for free, but dont know where from! Help! D:
Anyone heard of Primus 🤗
trolled lol
@MrToadums kay kay ;P
This is tool not just maynard.
now how the fuck did LADY GAGA even come in context here?!
@Smackenzieth If you like music similar to this, check out anything by Maynard James Keenan :) So - Tool, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle
@wifflum Actually, you'd be surprised by how smart lady gaga really is. Think about it, how could a dumb person sell their talent? lady gaga used to play piano and sing beautifully, my aunt saw her in concert way before she was on the devils puppet strings. maynard says he's not qualified to be a teacher, so we just gotta take what we can get from his words.
what is this?
:20-:28 is my favorite part
It is Laundry
Not Tool. Although there seems to be some african-style intro, it's not Danny Carey. Not his kit at all.
this is tool!
but this songs awsium any way
@Lateraenimate you mad bro? seems like your mad...you also tend to forget that of 20th/21st century entertainers Maynard has often more valid and logical view points than other people (see Bono, for instance) and isn't hung up on trying to save the world. Don't be mad
@Zlahlers This.
anyone who's seen Maynard live knows he isn't a great performer, in the sense of a front man. I believe him to be an artist to the greatest extent in anything he does including his music and wine making. He is a brilliant man and a deep thinker
What you mean??? Every time I see him he’s made his recordings look bad because of how well he performs
So what the hell is this song?
Was that a quif at the beginning?
sounds like Les Clapool, and it's Tim Alexander on drums apparently... both are in Primus.
i know mjk is very diverse, but for some reason im not buyin it. i dont know, i could be wrong and im sure ill hear about it if i am.
@LayZDude10 Ah Yea name some. I'll prove you wrong.
Not what that person ment by that last statement on the comment.
