Elvis had the Holy Spirit upon him as a young child. It stayed with him all of his life even though he's strayed from the path but in the end the prodigal son did come home. That is why people were strong to Elvis not only by his beautiful voice but it was by his spirit. I just wish that he would have not got involved with Hollywood the way that he did but we all make choices sometimes and don't understand the consequences. But he came from a poor family and he only wanted to give his family the best and give to others that were less fortunate just as he was growing up. He knew what it was like to dream and to want and God granted him that but the devil saw an opportunity and here comes the colonel and that's where it all started. Not true, now at Christmas in Memphis, he would ride his motorcycle to the county jail and take small gifts to the inmates. He and some of the guys and he did it quietly. You can't fool Elvis fans, I have been a fan since I was 12 in 1956, I am now 80.
I've been listening to Elvis since 1969 and I've never heard this before, I know Jhonny Cash did sing in a prison but I don't think Elvis did unless it was in the late 50s

I have heard that Elvis visited a prisoner he knew but he never sang or did a concert.
Every christmas Elvis visited prison to see if he could help any of them. He did pay bail for a guy he knew. There was NEVER any concert..
