The finale makes me cry. Is so poignant. Is basically saying goodbye to a wonderful world you met for 90 minutes. I never went to this specific show from Cirque Du Soleil. But if I did I think I would have cried at the end.
Francesca Gagnon IS the voice of Alegria, 2nd to none. From the 1st moment I saw this back in 1996, I felt an emotional connection to this mesmerizing, wonderful voice and quite talented band. Being a multiple instrumentalist myself, they had my attention as well. Perfect seats right behind the mixing board. What an amazing live sound they had. They must be recalled to the stage once again. By popular demand.
This was my first ever Cirque show, with the same cast and musicians. I've never felt that kind of excitement, awe, and joy, not even with other Cirque shows. This one was definitely the best, super magical!! Every single artist on that stage was amazing.

I had the pleasure of seeing Alegria live May 23, 2004 during it's 10 year anniversary tour on Randall's Island in New York City and I will never forget it. I also have this televised performance recorded at home. BRAVO TV aired it many years ago, go figure! Alegria returns to Montreal for it's 25th anniversary from April 2019-May 2019 and it is uncertain if the show will tour thereafter. If not, I may take the trip up to Montreal to see Alegria live once again. Maybe on May 23, 2019. It would be 15 years to the day!
It was my first experience too. I was a wreck afterwards. I didn't see the safety wire on the trapeze act until she let go while over the crowd. I was done!
This is a way to end a show, have everyone come out take a bow, have the audience on their feet and with that happy appreciative expression on their faces.

I wish they could do a tour again doing Alegria, this was the most magical show ever. I wish they would perform it again 😭🙏🏼🙏🏼 I would bring my whole family to watch it. I’ve watched other cirque du soleil shows but to be honest nothing compares to this. It was truly magical experience

They'd all be 20 years older, and this was hard enough as it was. I'd be happy with the same producers and would be cool if some of the old performers could be coaches to a new generation. But they sold the monopoly rights to a new group which trashed everything, so a new tour would have to be named something else.

She certainly is. Nobody can touch this song like Francesa. Brings tears to my eyes. I feel extremely fortunate I got to give my dad the gift of seeing them 3 times, the VIP treatment....made me feel so good to allow him that experience while he was alive and alert enough to rally enjoy the fullest. And now I can't watch them without crying my eyes out. But it's worth it for the memories I got to give my dad. I will never forget that magic. Just with I had him back.

While Mystere was my introduction to Cirque, this the DVD I show my friends to let them experience the magic and beauty of Cirque du Soleil. I did get to finally see this show live in Phoenix and it was wonderful. I do wish this would be re-released on Blu-ray.

7 years ago, I took my 85 year old father to Las Vegas to see another Cirque d Soleil show all the way from North Idaho. He absolutely loved it. He died last June, but I am happy that we got to do this together. I miss him.

I love this woman's voice, love the music, love the show! I hope to see it one day, but it won't be the same without this woman and all the old music. You're not alone on that one @Remberto Ramirez. Tears flow for me almost always when I hear the song or when I am watching the Alegria performance clips. This is particularly true at the very end while all the performers are coming out to bid adieu as the theme song plays. I just completely lose it every time and I have watched this hundreds of times as well as this clip ua-cam.com/video/fllDB3FK7pI/v-deo.html. The tears always just roll like a river at the end.
You're not the only one Remberto, my friend...that's testament to the devotion the team puts into the shows, giving it everything they've got and more. To be able to make grown men cry like babies is POWERFUL. Have seen them 3 times, took my father all three times, wanted him to experience it like nothing he's ever experienced before in his life so I got VIP tickets. It makes me proud that I got to do something nice for him for all he's done for me over my life. Now with him gone...I cannot and will not see Cirque Du Soleil again...it's just too painful without my dad. I'd give anything to have my dad back, but lost him to Alzheimers. Every time I watch this video at the end I say "You damn well better stand and give them a standing ovation-they more then deserve it." as best I can get out through the crying

I worked in a record store in my teens and early 20's and got to meet so many of my rock idols and never forgot how that felt so when Cirque came round I asked my dad if he was interested. He said yeah-he'd watched them often on Bravo network. I got the tickets and when we got there, he's walking towards General Admission. I said , no, We're over this line. We got lanyards and he asked what this was. I said you know all the rock stars I got to meet? (I'm welling up typing this) Well, I want YOU to experience the joy I got back then.....I got us VIP tickets. Wait until intermission." Intermission came and I said follow me to the VIP tent. He'd never experienced anything like that before and it made me so proud and happy I was able to make him feel like a King for those performances. Haven't seen Cirque since he passed away. I don't think I could make it thought a performance without breaking down. Just won't be as enjoyable withy my dad. Seeing that smile on his face made it all worth it.

You're not the only one Remberto, my friend...that's testament to the devotion the team puts into the shows, giving it everything they've got and more. To be able to make grown men cry like babies is POWERFUL. Have seen them 3 times, took my father all three times, wanted him to experience it like nothing he's ever experienced before in his life so I got VIP tickets. It makes me proud that I got to do something nice for him for all he's done for me over my life. Now with him gone...I cannot and will not see Cirque Du Soleil again...it's just too painful without my dad. I'd give anything to have my dad back, but lost him to Alzheimers. Every time I watch this video at the end I say "You damn well better stand and give them a standing ovation-they more then deserve it." as best I can get out through the crying

I worked in a record store in my teens and early 20's and got to meet so many of my rock idols and never forgot how that felt so when Cirque came round I asked my dad if he was interested. He said yeah-he'd watched them often on Bravo network. I got the tickets and when we got there, he's walking towards General Admission. I said , no, We're over this line. We got lanyards and he asked what this was. I said you know all the rock stars I got to meet? (I'm welling up typing this) Well, I want YOU to experience the joy I got back then.....I got us VIP tickets. Wait until intermission." Intermission came and I said follow me to the VIP tent. He'd never experienced anything like that before and it made me so proud and happy I was able to make him feel like a King for those performances. Haven't seen Cirque since he passed away. I don't think I could make it thought a performance without breaking down. Just won't be as enjoyable withy my dad. Seeing that smile on his face made it all worth it.
