What Andy is doing with his Sobriety method is called the Sinclair method TSM. It is actually working way more for people then AA now days since AA hasn't been updated since the 1930's. The Sinclair method is great because you won't be shamed and guilted by the Red Hat AA Cult of the Narcissistic circle that you can't question.... Having a drink and controlling your own addiction and being strong enough to say. l'l just have a drink every now and then. The Sinclair method makes you use your own will power so you have your own power. AA makes you say you don't have your own power and that your powerless and no will unless you depend on the cult of AA. Way to go Andy Proud of you.
Having a healthy relationship with alcohol that isn't about extremes. I reckon this would work way better long term. That type of balance goes for everything from relationships to food.
