does it make sense for books placement to be beyond reach? i know it looks interesting in design but the practicality especially for a retail bookstore is really low.
This makes me want to travel to Malaysia. I could spend my entire trip at Book Xcess. The founder was clear about the design and the designer has delivered a marvel.
Nice. I love BookXcess. The only concern I have is about the safety of this new outlet. Many trip hazard areas and sharp corners. Seniors and kids have to be more careful there. Even adults. Probably need to add on handrails for the stairs and also mark certain areas with Hazard Warning Safety Stripe tape.
Finally visited this place. Thank you for allowing us to experience the design and be inspired by jt. Been supporting bookxcess and big bad wolf for years. Love this store and the collection of books, games, and other interesting stuff.... And fantastic Whisk coffee
clients that are not constricting and allow for full creativity of the designer are the best sort of clients 😁
I am Indonesian. Now I am beginning to fall in love with your Malaysian design. 👍🙏❤
Great design, like the cafe seating beside the large window. Ume Tei has the some best set meal since their Amcorp mall time
This is the ultimate in wellness design. Thank you for the series.
desain keren, dokumentasi dan penyampaian dikemas denga baik
this video makes me want to start reading book again
What a great design!!! love it
I visited them last year! Truly a dream for Book enjoyers.
hope i can visit this bookstore one day... great design, love it.
You should make some time for it. I love the ambience and it is also one of my most frequented store location for books
I wish we had this in Singapore, too.
I love going to bookxcess, but the design and book placement are not customer-friendly for this particular store. There is no continuation or seamless experience moving from one shelf to another.
Great design love it 👍👍💪❤️
this looks like my kind of bookstore
Idk man, looks unsustainable. How many books per month need to sell to cover opex?
Awesome!
this is healing!!!!!!
I need this

hello Andrew
Anybody know which city and country this bookstore is located? It doesn’t quite say in the video
Malaysia, Mytown
Their book collection is terrible. Most books are outdated or unpopular. The business model is just using good interior design to lure people in and those who don't read much would buy a book or two because of the cheap price and put them in the shelves never to be read.
Like most fancy instagram restaurants with fancy design, but average food.
This doesn’t seem handicap accessible.
Book business can make a lot of money, is it...??
Yup because the demands getting higher since everyone can't go out often during pandemic, therefore they feel bored and find new hobby to fill their time at home. Reading is one of them.
@@ryanoneiljohnson8743 once open up demand goes down
Can just rely on pandemic
