Players drop off because *other people* get decent kits earlier than them, and it becomes problematic dealing with them. Not because they themselves get better kits.
Played with my standard edition for 3 wipes. It is how the game is meant to be played, all items have a use, the stash grind and lack of trader support is more natural. Brought EoD, played it for a month and hit 50. EZ game, pay to win. gg

The faster insurance return is just like having a bigger stash to me, if i die with a SR-25 and my lvl 4-6 armor....etc and my friends are able to hide it and i come back into the next raid or the next day using same type of gun/gear the person i kill isn't going to know or care that i just killed him with a gun i got back in insurance from a day ago or one i just bought and put together.

I dont know why people say 250$ for this edition. The unheard edition cost 250$ if you buy as a brand new player without the game. I have eod, if i want to upgrade to the unheard edition, it will cost 47.50$ before taxes.
they changed the prices after so many complaints, the upgrade from eod to unheard initially cost 100$, only now it costs half the price (and still, it's expensive)

Insurance return I can see that as not pay 2 win because it doesn't affect combat in raid. A bit borderline but way better than a freaking radio to call you buddies during a raid or protection from sniper scavs.
You're right, it's the least important of the changes, but it still is an advantage that people pay for.
The truth is Tarkov's always been P2W, EOD was P2W and it's becoming more so.
People are jumping the gun to claim “pay 2 win” on so many items.
It is by definition p2w. Anything that gives you an advantage by you spending money, is p2w. My EoD edition of the game, is p2w. And I am fine with the devs removing everything from it if they wanted to start over. No trader rep boost, no better starting items, no gamma container, no increased stash space. Just as long as everybody starts the same, I think the game would be better off. Aslong as I get all DLC and keep my gold name etc and maybe skins in replace of my "p2w" stuff I would be happy.
Yes but anything that doesn't give you an advantage during the raid during the combat isn't pay2win...in my opinion. A bigger gamma container isn't going to stop me from getting a bullet in my head from someone. Magic protection from scavs though is a problem as well as that radio that calls in backup? I don't think giving all those items to everyone in the community solves the problem as per today's announcements from BSG. I think they should just remove all p2w aspects from the game (including my EoD edition) for the next wipe have everyone start with the same stuff. just give us eod owners and the unheard edition users a bunch of special skins maybe glove skins or wrist watches etc and remove our containers.

I hope that the BTR call in is simply calling the BTR to the closest stop it has next to your location bc I can't see any other way the "legacy" item would be balanced, I also don't see how maps without the BTR already on them would work.

Pve is inside your PC. It uses no server bandwidth. Just like the training, practice mode. It gathers Intel from the map then everything else is just in the pc.

Why would the performance be so much better on PVE vs offline practice? 8700K 3080 & 32gb ram. Not the best. But i see a huge performance increase on the PVE & PVP modes vs normal offline with no progression. Maybe its a me thing.
The server is absolutely doing less work in a single player game vs multiplayer. It only has to update your client with the changes happening in the game, not ever other player clients and at some point player scav clients too in a match
Right now they have an Co-Op upgrade on the expansions page for $10, and from what I've heard it's NOT the PvE expansion but just the ability to go in a practice raid with a friend, I almost purchased it thinking that's what I was getting, honestly that's all I really want right now, bit over the PvP mode right now

You start with about 10x90 stash space, cases and a shitton of weapons and money. Also are able to buy more stuff on restock, get additional hideout stuff etc.
Feels kinda out of balance, even without the p2w items. Because with ex eod, you can now call in friends and the btr😂

So I have a question here I have EOD but I have bought the unheard edition for the PVE mode for early access. I guess you can say what I still have/getting access to the EOD perks as well, considering I’ve bought it in the past?

After 5 times overlooking this reddit post, i think, that any edition beside EOD have an advantage in regard to stash space. If you upgrade all the way up to max + get all stash expansions + the 2 lines... than all editions than the EOD have more space.

Is there anyone else that didn’t want any of the new items or felt the game didn’t need them? I understand the need to make money for BSG, because running servers, anticheat, updates, fixes etc. etc. is not free and those things are going to be needed for as long as the game is being played. In my opinion they could have added unheard with gamma, some new clothes and access to arena and Pve for the same price as EoD was sold for and also added PvE to EoD. After release they should just go with a subscription model and selling clothes and PvE mode separately in the store, because without a subscription model they will need to add these new versions once in a while for the game to stay afloat

Honestly different skins or colors for rigs and armor would be huge and not so much pay to win say you can make a tv110 black or green kinda like how rust does it has the same functionality as the base game rig just a color change just nothing outrages like pink or neon colors. And say you kill a person wearing a different colored rig now they have it in that color would honestly make the game all that more fun and make fights memorable. Like picking up a brown paca and being like yeah I remember that fight

Why is people falling to this "cant handle capacity for PvE". You cant play PvP version and PvE version at the same time. Therefore, there is not increase to capacity.

I really like the idea of calling the BTR, yet it should not be implemented in such a simple way.
It should be heavily restricted as to how often you can use the feature - maybe you get the "device" at the start with a few uses, and in order to unlock the option to buy more charges you need to finish the same questline as everybody else, only you are saved the cost of buying the device. Additional sound signal or a flare could be used as an indicator that the BTR enters the map - let's say it honks somewhat like the armored train when it enters the map, and again when it leaves - and a flare is fired by the caller, so that there is risk to using the item, same as with calling an airdrop.
Calling your PMC friends should either be moved to PvE only, or guarantee that they spawn as far away from you as possible, and some notification is given to all players that somebody joined the raid that way; blocking it so that it can only be used after some time into the raid would be good as well - let's say, you can only use it after 20-30 minutes or something.
I believe that these features can actually be balanced in a way that makes sense, they can make it work I am sure, the only question is if they want to. Also it would be great to get more options (ONLY THROUGH QUESTS) to increase your pocket size, so that the Unheard advantage can actually only matter at the start, becoming obsolete later into the wipe.
It does say at the bottom that all other editions can earn pocket space the mark of the unheard and the legacy device. No clue if those quest will be doable but they are there

This would reduce the impact of those Unheard pockets in the long run and would even the playing field a bit later in the wipe

6:15 i don't understand why they don't just do a skin system like other games-- paid cosmetics that whales can buy if they play enough but no real effect on gameplay mechanics. The pay to win shit is really weird to see from a game who's audience despises any p2w mechanics
now i feel like, the guys who bought the Unheard edition got scammed. All "unique" items aren't unique anymore, and the perks they gave those looser were nerfed 3 days after release.
The direction of changes is very good, but it's a pity that there will be great distaste at the beginning. Unfortunately, the community's trust in the studio cannot be rebuilt to the same level as it was before the SHITstorm that the studio itself did.

Yeah, it really was a troll item, I don't think most people read the full description before hosting on it. You need more than 6 fence rep for it to work against scavs aggro, and you lose 0,5 rep for each scavs kill with it equipped.

increased PMC Karma doesn´t tell anything. If i look at the people, than i don´t know, how to increase it or decrease it (other than exit camping). Maybe i fell that secrue, that i get it down even faster than all other editions and than getting hunted.
Also, if every edition gets the Mark of the Unheard, the "distress signal device and the legacy device, than it is like usual, you get it eventually over time. Would i call the BTR all the time? No. It take time to get the BTR here.
the pmc karma is not in the game yet, and it is not for players to see in game. you can maybe see it in their profile but it will be a game mechanic as Nikita said, there will be a boss hunting players with bad karma and there will be good perks for good karma probably. so we just have to wait and see when its in the game :)

So I don't believe the increase buy limit or the insurance return rates are really P2W items....with the change to how traders all have limits for each player, it's not like EOD owners are suddenly taking 20 extra bullets out of the pool for everyone, and just because you have the good bullets doesn't mean you're at an advantage due to ratting or sniping. And the quicker insurance simply means you get your kits back faster, but doesn't put you above others in battle cause it would almost be like you saved up then bougut that kit again. Everything else however is P2W trash and I want it gone
BSG doesn't understand or doesn't want to understand that we are pissed off because they promised us that the EOD version would be the highest and best version with which we would never have to pay for upcoming content again. Now they bring out a better version and degrade us. To make matters worse, they change the description of the EOD version on the website after the fact, which is illegal and disgusting. That's the problem.

The thing with this stuff is, is EOD owners don’t care about the P2W features we “weren’t getting”. Most of us don’t want ANY P2W features for anyone and are more than happy with what we already have and have had since pretty much launch.
We want access to all feature content without paying for it. It’s that simple. That’s what we paid for years ago and that’s what we expect. No one cares if “they won’t make more money that way”. It was a promise made and should be kept.
Get rid of these new P2W features, we don’t want them (please don’t take my gamma though) and do your best to make the game balanced for all profile types, BSG.
