Credit card companies use to prey on broke college students. I remember they would lure us in with a free large pizza if you completed a credit card application. Of course we all got approved and had multiple cards by the time we graduated.
. &&& Being in debt like this makes so sense at allll but nonetheless this was a great episode ... Susie Ozman needs to teach financial literacy in schools especially in the poor black areas . . ..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s a common misconception to collage kids that when they graduate the Money will be flowing in. Sorry kids but you should be opening a retirement account and contributing towards it, not paying off credit cards the first decade out of college.
I disagree, and clearly so did much of the audience. She has convinced herself that she is being responsible, but as long as she is *generating* more debt at double digit interest, she is headed for a fall no matter how much money she earns when she gets out of college. You can’t pay your bills with money that you don’t have, and she doesn’t get that yet. Of course this was years ago and we all want to know what happened since then.

Oprah PLEASE do a follow up with Keke!!!
It’s 2023, and I still Love Oprah’s hair!!!!
This episode is very relatable to people under 21 today, especially in regards to college debt.
It's about lifestyle choice, and living below our means. Sometimes minimalism can be a good thing.
We need The Oprah Winfrey Show on again. The country needs it.
Follow-up on Keke please.
Suze is such a sweet lady here. She stopped puling her punches later on.
They twisted what keke was saying. She is using credit cards to pay for basic expenses, while the others had parents to cover their expenses.
literally i was so mad
they didn’t twist anything, and if college was causing her so much debt then it wasn’t her season to go to school
Amen to that power. Thank you Oprah and Suze Orman
This was from 1998. Keke is now nearly 50. She lives on skid row.

Airdate is wrong as Oprah's last show in syndication was in May 2011
16:45 oprah lightly raising her hand LOL 🤣
Yes. Tithe is a big deal in wealth mentality
Keke is so defensive! Do you want help or not?
What is happening with keke now?
Kiki came on to the show to boast that she has everything covered, everything planed.

Yes this is probably year 2000 or so
It was in 1998
This episode aired in 2012?
They way they’re talking about credit cards sounds like the 90s
This was not 2012.. most likely 1999
Proverbs 22:7 says The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
There’s no telling Keke, none. Let’s hope she’s moved past denial

Yo, have Keke called you yet?
Bom dia Opraha Winfrey eu só Victoria Deus ti a bênção dos dias da sua vida e sua família também. 🎉😂❤❤❤
💖💖
The black girl is actually the smart one. They kept saying shes in denial but she actually is very responsible.
How is that responsible? It’s stupid
Responsible? Thats why she racked up $50,000 in debt! Even Oprah could not believe the level of denial she was in!

@@moondoggy02116 Exactly she think she has all the answers and her life "planned" out but life happens to everyone
Not funny ! They is very proud! Shame !
