I have been looking forward to this reel for so so long. I already have the certate from 19. I catched countless big seatrouts on it. If you are looking for saltwater reel, you go for certate without even questioning it!

I wish Daiwa would go back to the bronze and gold colours of the 16 Certate. It would be a much better looking piece of luxury fishing equipment!
If you want a reel that will last and is silky smooth all over get a Certate. My first was about 16 yrs old and I'd done the drag washers once just for the hell of it.
Why not exist or saltiga?

@@felixklassen9187in my opinion the saltiga is not worth the money because the Certate shares many of the same technologies for a cheaper price, sure the saltiga is all aluminum but are you really going to take advantage of that. It also depends on how often you fish, if you fish 1-2 a week not worth buying a saltiga.

Well, we got new Air Drive rotor, new desing spool and what is next upgrade?
Body is the same like "19" Certate, weight is same and colors also.
I dont see major upgrade over the 2019 Certate.
Its the same exact reel internally. Daiwa has become the king of gimmicks
I take this back, they added the gearset from the mini saltiga lineup, these look like a pretty nice upgrade from the previous model!

I'm the biggest fan of the certates but my biggest gripe i have is that it looks so similar to the exist now. Why didnt they make it a different color and what happened to the cuts they put on the reel to make it look more aggressive 😅

Looks nothing like exist imo. Exists has no darkness where as this has good contrasts between light and dark. I will agree with you on the cut outs of the spool though.. could have given it a bit of extra appeal but I really think the latest releases from daiwa have all been about exceptional user experience.. not aesthetics. Apart from the 23 saltiga of course. That's the best looking reel on the market in my humble opinion. I'll be adding this certate to my line up either way 🤙🏼

Stupendously small reel to be used for so big fish.
Lol those reels are tank’s! And they’re only snapper! In deep water one good run and they usually surface! use bream and bass gear on red’s like that for real fun!
