Sometimes the years that were the best were a year away from when they actually won the MVP (Chuck in 92, Malone in 98, Dirk in 06, Harden probably in 17 or 19), sometimes they were many years apart from winning their MVP(‘s) (Kobe in 03, Bron in 18 was close), and then you have years where a great never won an MVP but still had their best year. That last one I love talking about, with examples like Ewing at various points in the late 80’s to mid 90’s, Scottie in 94, Kidd in 03, or CP3 in 08
Everyone forgets about D. Wade’s first year with LeBron in Miami. It’s the reason I wasn’t even mad at LeBron not winning MVP that season, because it was debatable that he wasn’t even the best player on his team because Wade had similar numbers and was still in his prime.
Steve Nash's first mvp season, he only averaged 15 and 11 with bad defense. He did not deserve to win. The next year, he led the Suns in assists while Marion led them in points, rebounds, blocks and steals. Somehow, Nash got all the credit and another mvp. Nash's best season pales in comparison to plenty of black pgs who never sniffed an mvo award
Everyone argues Kobe 😂 Because he had a bigger claim than Nash but everyone at the time never even thought about Kobe.. That's just hindsight. Lebron was ahead of Kobe both times 😂 He was the one people where complaining didn't win 🤦♂
No not really. In 2005 Nash deserved the mvp imo. In 2006 Kobe had a better season than Lebron (It's close but Kobe's all defence team gives him a slight edge imo)
@@theetruth8626 No pal, that's just a legendary excuse for why he wasn't as good as he was 🤷♂ To be fair to his devotees, they also come up with just as many fairytales for why he deserved all of Shaq's FMVP's 🤣 I'll give you this at the very least... If you're a married man maybe don't ask a stranger up to your room and have her go to the cops the next day and then you'd have less excuses.. 🤷♂
Stop it the heat can’t win without bron playing good, if bron is good and wade is bad they can still win, if wade is good and bron is bad they cannot win 😂😂, so if they were to win that would mean bron played good and wade won’t get mvp lol😂. And brons playing bad is 17 7 and 6 wade playing bad is like 10 2 and 2 😂😂😂
Apologies for the audio on this one
2017 or 09 Bron, 08 Cp3, 2020 Jokic, 2021 Harden and Kawhi, 2023 and 2024 AD, 2021 Dame, 2020 and 2021 Doncic, 2021 Westbrook, 2021, 2023 and 2024 Kyrie
I would've included 2023 Dame as well. Actually video game numbers.
Bro snuck in Ky and Russ
2009 lebron couldn’t even shoot or get past the magic please stop it. And 2017? When KD gave him 35 on 55/47/92 splits in the finals? Nah
Kyrie and Russ lololol
@@0vern9Kyeah, that bum ass dude… only averaged 30 8 and 7 with a steal and a block. Garbage ass. /s

I probably would suggest 05 D-Wade or 07 D-Wade.
Steve Nash is the reason I started watching the NBA, he will forever be my favorite ever
I still remember the year my lakers won the bubble championship. Most people had the nets or clippers winning which both teams ended in failures.
If the season didn't end the Lakers don't win
KD didn't even play for the Nets that year lol
Nobody had the nets winning that year, KD never played
2013 Tony Parker
2014 and 2017 lebron are both underrated same with 2017 and 2020 harden
10:07 that’s ridiculous bro. Best version of KD is most definitely OKC or Golden State. In golden state he was legitimately argued as a 2 way player.
Nash used to beat the lakers then lose to the spurs , then once he beat the spurs he loses to the Lakers😭
This is a dope concept
Great content bro. Your remind me of SWISHOUT...y'all's voices sound similar to me
They don’t sound similar at all to me
I agree with 03 Kobe being one of his top 2 seasons but he was still clearly number 2

Great video, when argueing with quote on quote real fans they act like I’m spitting bs. Keep up the great vids
Most nba fans nowadays are casuals, it’s very infuriating debating with some of them at times.
I think Giannis wasn't in his prime in 2024.
His stats are a bit better but he didn't mafe an all defence team (let alone a dpoy)
Because Giannis was blackball just like his MVP
