Fabulous Hep Stars. What a charmed career Benny Andersson has had. Absolutely fantastic in Hep and of course ABBA. Must add my condolences to Lotta Heglund and her family for their loss. Mrs Hedlund,your husband Sven was a genius. Thank you all for sharing your lives❤❤❤

It's great to see The Hep Stars actually perform a medley of songs - until now there'd only been clips of songs on various ABBA documentaries; all filmed in black and white.

Åh vad härligt att se Hepparna igen. Detta var väl deras avskedskonsert vill jag minnas.
Deras sista konsert var en utomhusspelning i Kungsträdgården i slutet av augusti 1969.

The last song they play is Speedy Gonzalez. The Hep Stars must have wrote that version because I know Warner Bros. didn't write those lyrics! Oh man ... when Svenne pinches his nose and starts to talk like a "Mexican" ... that has got to be one of thee funniest things I have seen in a loooong time. But that laughter is short lived because here in the USA, birthplace of Speedy Gonzalez, the cartoons can no longer be shown because too many people view it as racist! OK, my understanding of racist is when something reflects negatively on a segment of society to the point is causes harm to that segment or influences a person to react negatively and cause harm to that segment. So to those who feel Speedy Gonzalez is blatant racism or has racist undertones, you are saying that the cartoon causes harm to certain people. In this case Mexicans. And if this is the case, could someone please respond to this message and explain to me how Speedy is racist. Because even though I wrote what I did, none of that makes any sense to me. Maybe one of these days I will watch a Speedy G cartoon and immediately afterward seek out a Mexican so that I can feed him a knuckle sandwich, which in turn will release the racist tension that had just built up inside me. Not very likely though. Actually impossible. Because Speedy represents comedy to me ... that cartoon makes me laugh out loud ... great stuff :D I swear, all Speedy does for me is make me laugh till I cry. Very much like Svenne and Lotte singing this song. A Classic! And sorry for my racist rant. Some times I find it difficult not to say anything when I find out that one of my favorite happy things from my childhood has been demonized by ignorant people and their misguided agendas. OK, gotta go shake my fist at the sky again :-)
Hi! And greetings from Mexico, I'm Berna Kinoc, a cultural promoter, I understand your point, a lot of things are demonized today, even Apu of The Simpsons. In this case, I think Speedy Gonzalez is considered racist because it represents a stereotype that doesn´t fit with Mexican reality even though it is a funny and heroic character in some way, maybe the problem is that it is represented like a mouse, so it is like Mexicans are looked like mouses by all the other countries or mostly in the U.S. Maybe is a consideration of some persons , but it makes some noise in everyone´s head and so, it is pointed like something racist, it is a question of philosophies and interpretations. In this case, it gets worse because of relationship between our countries is really tense and complex, and there´s no place to consider this cartoon just like a funny and sane entertainment creation.
