This was an excellent video. Very insightful and helped me understand you a bit better. I'm an introvert as well. I prefer small dinners with close friends to large parties. I find human interaction interesting, but I don't always love to participate in too much of it too often. I like the idea of putting positive energy out in the world, but it makes me uncomfortable if other people try to care too much about me. I think I like the inherent boundaries of UA-cam. My interactions with some daily vloggers feel like having an internet penpal. Some Questions to choose from: 1. How did you and Laura meet? First impressions of each other? Love at first sight, or a slower development? 2. Most (and least, if you are comfortable with that) favorite qualities about each other? 3. Did/does Laura watch the vlog? 4. For Jamie: What is the significance of that key around your neck? Is it practical or symbolic? 5. Has the vlog ever caused stress in your relationship? 6. What kinds of UA-cam videos to each of you watch? What are your favorite channels? 7. How has vlogging changed Jamie? Is he more confident? 8. How does Laura feel about Jamie's vlogging? Has she had privacy concerns? 9. What are the best and worst moments that have been vlogged so far (possibly with links)? 10. Any concerns about, "worlds colliding", i.e. people you know in real life viewing your vlog? It may seem strange, but I can see one being more comfortable sharing openly with semi-strangers on the internet than with people who are actually characters in one's own real life. That is all I can think of for now. I haven't been consistently viewing and commenting on your vlogs very long, but I have come to really appreciate and value them. You are an interesting person, and I've enjoyed our interactions and getting to know you a bit better. Thanks for all of the hard work you put into this. You seem more interested in the quality of the connections you have rather than in being super popular. I really love that.
Perspectologist Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! Totally agree on the dinners thing, I can't wait for dinner parties with Beth and Ben! Christ that is a lot of questions, I'll cherry pick some and put some in the video if I have time :P However on question 9, I am planning on making a best of video soon for the daily vlogging channel :)
heyy Jamie! Love this channel of yours, and the vlogs one too but this one seems bit more 'fun' and can sort of keep up to date with that you sort of get up to when 'life isn't in the way' haha! *ALERT* vid request! - maybe you can doa video on tips for starting up a YouTUBE channel - or what sort of things you plan / use/ how you go about making your videos! :P
You may be going through your awkward "lonely" without a spouse/bf/gf whatever, but it's important that you don't wish away your life away dreaming of that stage! You have to have your own experiences , set your own benchmark by making mistakes and escaping your comfort zone. Just something my dad said today and it really resonated with me. So please , enjoy your life where YOU ARE ! MAKE THOSE CHANGES YOURSELF AND DON'T WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO DO IT FOR YOU!
Why not do a university video? reflecting on what you wish you would have known before or good things to know as university is a large part of your channel. By doing it with Laura you should have different kinds of answers as you attended different universities and women have different needs from men at university.
mark Ohara That is on the cards, I'm trying to plan one in but I don't really have much time at the moment, so it'll be in September! Good idea though, we will see :D
Hi Jamie and Laura! Jamie, I've been a fan of your videos as soon I finished the first one! Congratulations on your channel and please continue doing it because it is one of the most natural and coolest vlogs I know! Laura, congratulations on graduating! Hope you have a bright future! My questions for you you two are related to the difficulties of a long distance relationship. I hope that they aren't too personal, and if you feel they are, then don't answer, it's no problem :) So here there are: Do you consider that going to different unis was a plus or a minus for your relationship? Have you ever had some moments when felt that communication is important, but feared that the other would think you're too clingy to call/skype? In terms of moving together, did you plan it from the beginning, or did it come naturally over the years? Finally, was it hard to settle for a city where to live together? Best wishes, Daria
Daria Deea Hi Daria, thanks for getting in touch! That's really nice to hear! I shall put them in the video! Good questions! Else for a faster turn around on answers, I'll answer some of them here :) We thought it was a positive, because we were able to live separate lives - we think that couples at university run the risk of getting too clingy. Saying that we didn't really have that, or at least I didn't... We planned it from Day one of university :) I think long distance relationships only really work if you are that serious from day one! It wasn't because I have a guaranteed job in Bristol and programming jobs are hard to come by in Leeds/Nottingham
Jamie, what is your dissertation about, (and its thesis(?)), and is it something you are doing more because it is required to pass, or more because it is something you are really, really passionate about? My life is a dissertation, but not one that I have to do to pass any exam. It's more what I do to try to finally get engagement from my favorite academics on my point of view (convictions, really) on various things, and short of that just to enjoy figuring things out about what my point of view that matter to still other things.
Daniel Pech I'm releasing snippets of my dissertation on my daily vlogs, but I'm not going to be fully explaining it until it's done :) I want to turn it into a commercial product :) I'm really really passionate about it!
New subscriber, you were in my recommended, as i'm about to start Hull uni this September and i'm trying to prepare as much as i can. Like little things such as how do i know what to take to my lectures? Do i get a checklist? Does the uni give me an academic calendar so i can place it on my wall? Hope you have a good few weeks before uni' :)
GuruDanWan If its like last year Hull uni in there freshers fair you get given a wall calender that has all the big events on it like club events and freshers stuff plus when term starts and finishes ect
I would go find groups on facebook for your course at hull, check the student room ect to find other people and start making friends, before i started i had half a dozen friends on my course i met through facebook. Made starting easier :P
How is living together compared to what you thought it would be like? :) I have to wait at least 4 years to live with my boyfriend so I always wonder if its as awesome as I imagine it to be :) Love your videos btw :D
damnyoupolishgenius Keep up some really good communication, you have to keep talking to each other! Also try and plan days to visit in advance, so you always know when you will next see each other
Ohh are you going back to the university of bath aha? It's so weird that last year before i got my results (but had my offer from bath) i searched up youtube vids about the uni and found your videos! And now i've just finished my first year there haha :) It'll be really odd if I see you on campus now haha, but i'll probably be too awkward to say hi xD Also weird to think how charlieissocoollike is from bath and another famous youtuber rolluphills(?) graduated from its uni last year :D
+Rust Cohle I don't really read as much as I used to, but the first thing that comes to mind is The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy - that is top quality stuff!

The i've joined lots on FB, though it's pretty quiet atm.
The student room i've signed up to, i'll do some investigating, thanks
It might pick up once results are out, but good luck!
That holiday comment is me all over. It sound so creepy when you say it out loud
MrP4RR0TT Why do people want to talk and play games on holiday?

+Enderqueen We think it's a lot smoother then we thought it would be, we don't bicker at all - and we thought we might do! It is really good :D
Question: Do you have any advice for couples going to different unis that are a fair distance away? :) Sorry, you might have answered that before XD
damnyoupolishgenius Keep up some really good communication, you have to keep talking to each other! Also try and plan days to visit in advance, so you always know when you will next see each other

Could you recommend me a non fiction book you love?
+Rust Cohle I don't really read as much as I used to, but the first thing that comes to mind is The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy - that is top quality stuff!
Nice video :) mate
PringlePatriot Thank you! :D
