    Such a great twist on a classic game. I learned something new about gender pronouns in China. Interesting! Thanks for sharing such a great way to teach this concept.

    Hi there, I'm interested to know how do you explain the games for your kids? They are not paying attention when they don't understand the language, so it happened for me many times that I had a fun game ready but because explaining it for my 3 years was too difficult, so it was a fail.

    • @MooncakeEnglish
      @MooncakeEnglish  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Negin, thanks for watching!
      When introducing a new game, one mistake a lot of teachers will make is to use too much English to explain rules, also, teachers try to explain all the rules and processes at once.
      I would think about the game you want to teach and then split it into different steps. I would then think of one sentence to summaries each step, but limit that sentence to five key words that get the instructions across.
      Next, I would then explain the first step using that sentence while demonstrating how to do it (you can do this with an assistant or pupil). Once that step is clear, then move onto the next step and do the same.
      This way, the instructions are being given at a level students can follow and understand and they can visually see each part of the game as you demonstrate.
      I hope that helps! 😊
