I just received my jig yesterday from you, thanks. I have a number of beveller's that are in bad condition from attempting to sharpen them in the past, I think I have ruined 2 of them because the "ears" on the side are real long from taking off too much metal in the middle. I used the jig but frankly it didn't seem to be of any help at all, that's why I am afraid that they can't be sharpened because I have probably already ruined them. Maybe I need to start over with new bevellers'? Suggestions are welcomed
Hi bluesnake, just for clarity I don't sell these this was only a review video. If you are UK based I will be at the makers central event in Birmingham UK at the end of April 2022 and would be more than happy to take a look for you, if you wanted to come visit.
Great! Glad to have helped :) Not too sure on the angles, it's the thickness at the tip that is the useful bit. This does seem to cover most sizes :) Feel free to ask any other questions and I'll help the best I can.
It depends on what beveler you use. Looking at a selection from different manufacturers had shown slight differences in naming conventions. So a look to see what fits is the best way IMO.
Ordered one of these. Thanks for sharing buddy
That's a nice bit of kit!!!
Trailing edge? Doesn't that leave a burr?

seems handy. I like that I wouldn't have to change out leather bits or add oxide like with the Weaver brand
I've been using the for a little while now and I've been very pleased with it. It's part of the preventative maintenance set now.
There are round edge bevelers and flat edge bevelers .which will these work on.
Hi David, they have options for both types. This one is for the curved type.
Just found your channel. Bought my first head knife with the help of your vids.
Do you know what the angle of those bevels are on the jig? Cheers
Great!

@@HandmadeByAlex was thinking about making one as I dont use anything larger than a no.2. Route a piece of hardwood with the points l. Thoughts?
That sounds like a good plan :) I'd love to see one once you've made it :)
Hi Jesse, has your head knife arrived yet?
@@HandmadeByAlex ho mate. Yes, a while back. A single head Barnsley. Not had a chance to use it yet though
So the numbers don’t match the levelers?
