I'm doing this right now Akrapovic didn't number the pipes lol. So hopefully I get it right the first time. Also much harder to do with the radiator fan on.
@@sportbiketrackgear I did it and didn't damage anything lol. But it took hours just to get a few of those springs attached. No local stores sold any spring puller or anything that even looked like one. Almost gave up. But I made something homemade that just barely worked and I didn't poke my eye out either. Funny took hours to get the springs attached because of various reasons and then took ten minutes to do everything else 😂. Was slightly nerve racking because this is a 2019 Honda cbr1000rr Sp 1. But I refuse to pay someone else crazy amounts of money to do something I can do on my own and also learn a bit while doing it. I appreciate your video because it was my reference to get the job done. And it would have been much more difficult without your help Van!
What do I do with the O2 sensor if i was to put on a slip on exhaust on my cbr1000rr? The exhaust is a T-slash TOCE slip on and if anyone could give me some tips that would be great. Awesome vids btw helps alot.
please could you tell me if this system would fit a european fireblade, and what the actual differences are between yours and the euro one? Is it just the o2 sensor cable length, as mine has a cat at the end of the headers whereas i think the cat on this model is located near the silencer??? thanks for any info you can provide! Great video btw!!
very good and very detailed video buddy you make it look very easy but one thing is you took out the catalyst out, is there no need for it or is there something inside the exhaust you just installed to the job for the catalyst
Thank for the reply l was thiking of taking out the catalyctic off my bike and put a slip on exhaust would you recomend it and do l have to turn off the o2 sensor too and this is for street riding only not for racing
hey mahir can you give me some thoughts??? pls I have an zx6r 2008 with two brothers slip on and I bought this new headers and mid pipes without cat but the mechanic told me that I probably need to make 2 holes "for the motorbike computer sensors"or 02 sensor??? Do I really need to make the holes or can i Put the pipes straight ??? Thanks in advance
l wish l could help you out there but l don't know much about Kawasaki's, l recently had a Honda cbr650f and l put on a after market exhaust on it but l kept the 02 oxygen sensor on the bike l got a exhaust men to cut out my original exhaust and the cat off just before the 02 sensor and he welded on my aftermarket exhaust back where he made a cut from, if you don't want to use a catalytic converter and if the guy who will be doing your exhaust for you is reliable go a head with it, what your mechanic is telling you is he has to make a hole in the pipe and he wil,l have to weld on a nut on top of the hole so he can screw on the 02 sensor on to the pipe but make sure you mechanic knows what he is doing because the 02 sensors may or may not work l am not too sure about that.
Sorry l missed something yes it will be good if you can get the mechanic to weld on the 02 sensors on the pipes there is a way that you can bypass the 02 sensor but l don't recommend it if you want to by pass your 02 sensors go on to you tube and type in how to by pass a 02 sensor and you will see some videos there showing you how to do it
Do you guys have a video of how this exhaust sounds or performs on a dyno? I like the way it looks but on the M4 site they only have dyno's charts for the slip on which does almost nothing performance wise.
Nick - we haven't really started it up yet as Brian is still in the process of building it. I am not sure if there is any intention of taking it to the dyno but I will make sure I pass along the info. Thanks! ~Aubrey
Thanks Aubrey! I have a 2012 CBR1KRR and am looking at full exhausts. I'd like to know what Brian's or whoevers opinion is on Brocks full systems. They seem to put out the most power throughout the rev range.
This is a pretty old video now. Without rewatching it I would say it was threaded into the bung in the mid pipe. Pretty much every full system comes with a bung welded in to accept the OEM exhaust sensor. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear I’m looking for a full exhaust, if you guys can point me in the right direction and provide me with a link that would be awesome! 2012 cbr1000rr

It does, the first link is to the specific exhaust Brian is installing and then the second link, down in the description goes to the page. Thanks! ~Aubrey
Matt unfortunately M4 has discontinued this exhaust system approximately 1 year ago and there is no stock remaining. If you email us directly at orders@sportbiketrackgear.com the team can help you find a system for you. - Brian Van
5 stars(*****) on detail install of the M4 exhaust (full). Would love to hear a start/up of the bike???

You can do it with the radiator and fan in place. Just make sure you are careful to not damage the radiator. - Van

Thank you for the feedback, we took it out because it is not necessary for performance. It weighs a ton and is there for emission purposes. ~Aubrey

do you have to wipe your prints off every time you touch it or just the first time
Best to wipe it down after you've completed the whole process.

Please god let me win this bike haha. Looking forward to more videos!
Hate to say it but the new CBR's are so much easier to perform maintenance on than the R1. Managing all the lines and wires seams allot easier.
Any tips to getting the middle springs on?
