Vous devez penser à FRANCE AB 1973car il ne se sont pas affrontés en 1974... ce jour là Max Barrau et Walter Spanghero avaient réussi un match exceptionnel. On a dit que les AB ne s'étaient pas remis de leur match la semaine précédente face aux Barbarians, un match d'anthologie gagné par les Gareth Edwards, Phil Bennett, JPR Williams etc, arbitré par le Français Georges Domercq qui avait laissé beaucoup jouer... Quant aux années 1970 vous pouvez pousser jusqu'à 1981 avec 2 grands Chelems à la clé (1977 et 1981) et la première victoire bleue en Nouvelle Zélande en 1979.

So-called modern game, with professionals and Laws interpreted to keep side in possession of the ball, in possession of the ball until "more points" can be scored, has reduced "flow" and running and handling. More now about "crashing and bashing" with euphemism of "phases". The bashing requires larger players and thus rather than 80 minutes of fitness required, 8 subs are available and the clear use of an 'injury" unseen and minor to require stoppage of play to give larger bodies a rest, This ploy could be handled by requirement that all "injuries" be treated off the field....serious ones are anyway...but if one "goes down" with a booboo, must leave the field for x amount of time before rejoinging play which has continued. Used to be a game worth playing and promoting.....Not for me any longer the case.
