I love that telemetry data even though jts not perfect, 20mph GPS sounds about right for your weight. I weigh 130 and my horizon will hit 22 gps on flat ground, maybe 23 if I'm lucky. For a test you can always free spin the wheel to see when the motor stops turning (I think it's about 26mph) and that will tell you the max RPMs of the motor and ultimately your Max velocity unless you are straight up coasting down a steep hill.
I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, when I'm close to a mountain or a tall building the GPS does not work. I've read from some other Horizon owners that the larger battery will take a rider 1-2 MPH faster, maybe that is why the stated speed is 23-25 MPH. Safe riding!
@@scootscootpev2761 I purchased the 10.4ah version, I'm one of the few who bought a 13ah from fluid free ride and put it in my horizon. I didn't notice much of a change in speed, maybe a mph or so? I was keen to check for that because I thought my speed was slow from the get go, but jt wasn't, these just aren't good for anything more than about 22gps, I have my speedometer calibrated accurately so most people read 24 or 25 on the display. Irrelevant to the conversation im currently in the process of installing a Zero 9 motor on my ffr horizon with the 48v Zero 9 controller, I can't wait but the motor is coming from China so it'll be another couple weeks. I also own a Zero 9, 10, mantis, another ffr horizon, Segway max, couple one wheels etc. I love this stuff lol
@@a4Audi2153 Interesting. I love how many scooters you have. This hobby is just too much fun. So it looks like the zero 9 has a 600 watt motor? Dude your horizon is going to fly!!
@@scootscootpev2761 I feel the same way commuting on a standard bicycle! Even if you have no motor and are sweating people don't care and get their car as close as they can as they pass me. Highly recommend some mounted mirrors on all of your scooters. When I'm biking I am always watching my left hand mirror and I always get over the moment I seen any car while biking.
@@aegisfate117 Yes, it is incredible how close some people are comfortable getting to a rider in their cars. The mirrors is a good idea. Only downside I see is the portability factor - when I put my scooter in the trunk I may have to take the mirrors off. Still a good idea. Thank you for watching. Scoot Scoot!
@@scootscootpev2761 I've seen some nice motorcycle style mirrors in some escooter videos, probably not too hard to take on and off. Happy riding I hope to make my choice for escooter soon. Thinking Fluidfreeride Horizon for the cheap option or Ghost for the pricey option. Not sure which I need yet.
Fluid Freeride says it can go up 15% inclines, and I would agree based on my riding. I do have a few super steep hills around which the Horizon needs a little help getting up, but I think those are beyond 15% incline. Most hills it will take me up between 8-15MPH.
Probably not a night and day difference. Larger pneumatic tires AND suspension are what really improve the ride imo. I have not ridden the city rider. I like it's portability though. How many miles do you have on it? And, would you get it again?
Mine came with a bell from Fluid. I think if I remember correctly, Electric Scooter Guide has a Horizon video saying no bell comes with the scooter. As far as I know that has been changed and you get a bell with the scooter. Have fun!
@@scootscootpev2761 Yeah I was wondering about that like there are older versions that didn't come with a bell. Thanks I subscribed btw I love watching people review scooters like the pov ride videos. The Apollo is way out of my budget at the moment and congratulations on 1,000 miles on that scooter.

Hey is it a 500w or 1000w because they are all saying 23 mph how do you get up to that speed
i’m considering getting one
Horizon is a fun scooter. My only regret is I didn't get the larger battery. A few miles of more range would be valuable.

How steep are the slopes this scooter can take?
