With windows 8? Not a chance. Plenty of people from the bmt can tell you that from experience! I even have a video of a weak laptop beating a much stronger computer at playing black midis because the stronger computer had windows 8.
I think my current Macbook Pro is able to handle it with the specs right here: Macbook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) Processor 3 GHZ Intel Core i7 Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics Intel Iris 5100 1536 MB My Mac can also Run Windows as well but I'll be fine using Logic Pro X to get the best sound out of it.
