The small indicator right to the health shows you if you can do it, as it regens over time; ·The purple gems can be invested over multiple runs at the store (follow the green arrow in the compass on top of the screen, while blue is the exit) to unlock weapons and permanent upgrades; ·For now, focus on following the golden arrow (when you enter the level, it will you something about someone needing rescue), as it will allow you to start getting the shards of the fallen gods and get even more upgrades on the surface; ·The crystal crabs weak spot is the soft body underneath, including the legs. The crystal is the toughest part; ·The floating heads take double damage while they're enraged, but deal an ungodly amount of damage; ·The "skeleton in a box" allows you to pay for an upgrade with your health on one side of the box and with money on the other; ·The barred room you found was actually a challenge room, where you can (surprise surprise) beat a challenge to get more weapons; ·Unluckily, you used the shockwave ONLY on the enemies that it does not affect; try on regular bandits or zombies; ·Invest in speed and stamina, and try to be agile and jump around a lot, changing direction erratically (or at least, buy all the upgrades you can get). Edit: Oh, yeah, you can also keep two weapons at a time and swap between them by pressing g (don't hold or you will throw the currently held one)

Here's some things that can help! 1. The purple rock looking things can be used at shops(green marker on compass) for permanent upgrades across runs. 2. Abilities like the warlocks fireball can be used at the press of a button, you can't use them from the weapon wheel. 3. Enemies have weak spots (the red Crystal crabs weak spot is the legs. 4. Keep an eye on the compass, I believe orange means the challenge/boss fight, the blue marker is the exit, green is the shop ect. There's a lot more stuff in the game that you'd need to know but unfortunately I can't remember anything else
Orange marker is for the apostate. Challenge rooms are indicated by red markers, there are also mini bosses which are Shard Lords, and they're marked with a Blue Shard on the compass (After buying a compass upgrade)
I loved watching this. It made me feel so nostalgic to watching this game the first time around. Chaotic Jack running around just WHALING on people is my favorite.. right next to Scaredy Cat Jack. But my real favorite is seeing Seán being himself and having genuine fun on the channel. ❤
Jack here are some tips: Please look at the controls you can use a basic ability for each class for example berserker has a super kick which you can do by just kicking hence the icon on the bottom left corner of your screen. Holding your left click will do a swing which is usually the normal way of attacking something in this game. You can gather your gold to buy stuff from the shop and every run is randomly generated. This was a fun video to watch and I hope you play the game again.
Crystal crabs are easier to kill if you hit the legs, there's a store in every level in which you can spend energy for permanent upgrades and you should check the controls for what button is kick, not to mention you have two other hit types, if you hold click it swipes at em, if you block and hold click it swipes down at em

This is a nostalgia trip for me, because one of the first videos I watched from Jack was Paint the town Red. Now in 2023 out of school I'm still watching him because he just keeps getting better and better. Time really does fly.
Little tip is that with the energy is that there is a shop in the beneth where you can use the energy towards permit upgrades and another tip is those crystal crabs have a weak point, their legs and up under them

The shop is where you can use energy, you have a compass at the top of your screen that shows you where important markers are, including the shop(The yellow arrow). The energy is used at the shop to buy permanent upgrades for your classes with the crate to the right, the coins can be used there for temporary upgrades. You have cool abilities that also use your stamina, which you can use by pressing 'E'. Thank you for playing this again, Jack! I've been looking forward to this moment.

I really enjoyed playing beneath but when I was beginner I also needed some help and directions. Here are some tips that will help you without spoiling anything, these are the things I'd love to have known when I started: You can charge melee attacks by holding left click and you can have two weapons on you at all times. Press G to switch between them. Pressing Q will use some stamina and activate your current class ability. The only cooldown on this is your stamina. The red shard monsters have weaknesses, in fact, every enemy has a weakness. If you look at the top of your screen you'll see a compass and some arrows. Pay attention to the green one, it'll lead you to a shop where you can spend your purple gems and your coins. You will never retain any upgrades bought with coins, but any upgrades bought using purple gems will be permanent and any purple gems spent on upgrades will stay in the shop between runs. After you do the "help" quest you'll be able to fight mini-bosses and obtain blue shards. You keep these shards upon dying and you can spend these in a shop once you've died. There are bosses in beneath and for some of them you might need some help finding them. There is also an ending to the game. I hope this helps :)

I have published a load of guides for stuff and several full length Beneath speedruns of this game if you have the time to watch anything, Jack But advice wise: - Use the compass at the top of the screen to reach the shops and buy more health as well as spend energy, the yellow arrow indicates shops, the blue arrow indicates exits (or progression points), and orange arrow is for an important cage-match type thing needed for progression that I explained a bit more below. (sorry if this is something you already realised). - If a compass arrow appears as very small then you need to descend or ascend to the floor/height that the arrow is pointing to, either up or down. - Go further and further beneath beyond Caves III to Crystal Caverns, then Ruins, then the first Boss and a big chunk of progression can be found in Ruins III - Use the spectre class to move more quickly away from enemies, the tradeoff is health is terrible, keep going as Brawler to stay alive more readily. - Ignore the Pursuer if you run into it, it can't be killed, and disappears if you get to the next level - Rescuing the apostate allows you to fight minibosses called Shard Lords, the apostate fight can be found on an orange coloured arrow somewhere in the first sections Caves I-III. - Hit the crystal crabs in their legs, hit the floating heads when they're about to charge or when their eyes are glowing, they're much weaker - There's no obligation to kill everything to progress to later levels, it just helps with money and energy for upgrades - Gold upgrades buy stuff specifically for that run, purple energy buys stuff that lasts forever, if you spend any of that energy in a shop with a little guy in the corner, it's banked forever so you can't lose it regardless of what happens on that run I hope that's sufficient for another episode, but there are 10,000+ community maps to check out as well, and more Arena challenges to check out than those you did when you last played this, as well as a fifth scenario level.
Jack you can hold the attack button instead of tapping it to swing instead of jabbing. You find shops in the caves for permanent upgrades and if you hit the crystal crabs in the legs it will do much more damage to them. The crystal is their shield.
I don't watch your content anymore but this appeared in my recommended and that bit at the beginning really got my nostalgia meter going off the charts.

I loved watching this. It made me feel so nostalgic to watching this game the first time around. Chaotic Jack running around just WHALING on people is my favorite.. right next to Scaredy Cat Jack. But my real favorite is seeing Seán being himself and having genuine fun on the channel. ❤
Jack here are some tips: Please look at the controls you can use a basic ability for each class for example berserker has a super kick which you can do by just kicking hence the icon on the bottom left corner of your screen. Holding your left click will do a swing which is usually the normal way of attacking something in this game. You can gather your gold to buy stuff from the shop and every run is randomly generated. This was a fun video to watch and I hope you play the game again.

Crystal crabs are easier to kill if you hit the legs, there's a store in every level in which you can spend energy for permanent upgrades and you should check the controls for what button is kick, not to mention you have two other hit types, if you hold click it swipes at em, if you block and hold click it swipes down at em

This is a nostalgia trip for me, because one of the first videos I watched from Jack was Paint the town Red. Now in 2023 out of school I'm still watching him because he just keeps getting better and better. Time really does fly.
Jack is back, this is the vibe I haven't seen in a LONG time, and it doesn't feel forced you just seem to be having a good time
Little tip is that with the energy is that there is a shop in the beneth where you can use the energy towards permit upgrades and another tip is those crystal crabs have a weak point, their legs and up under them

The shop is where you can use energy, you have a compass at the top of your screen that shows you where important markers are, including the shop(The yellow arrow). The energy is used at the shop to buy permanent upgrades for your classes with the crate to the right, the coins can be used there for temporary upgrades. You have cool abilities that also use your stamina, which you can use by pressing 'E'. Thank you for playing this again, Jack! I've been looking forward to this moment.

I have been watching Jack for more than 10 years now, and he never disappoints. Every time i was at my lowest, he posted a new video, and my mood instantly changed to a positive mood.

I really enjoyed playing beneath but when I was beginner I also needed some help and directions. Here are some tips that will help you without spoiling anything, these are the things I'd love to have known when I started:
You can charge melee attacks by holding left click and you can have two weapons on you at all times. Press G to switch between them.
Pressing Q will use some stamina and activate your current class ability. The only cooldown on this is your stamina.
The red shard monsters have weaknesses, in fact, every enemy has a weakness.
If you look at the top of your screen you'll see a compass and some arrows. Pay attention to the green one, it'll lead you to a shop where you can spend your purple gems and your coins.
You will never retain any upgrades bought with coins, but any upgrades bought using purple gems will be permanent and any purple gems spent on upgrades will stay in the shop between runs.
After you do the "help" quest you'll be able to fight mini-bosses and obtain blue shards. You keep these shards upon dying and you can spend these in a shop once you've died.
There are bosses in beneath and for some of them you might need some help finding them. There is also an ending to the game.

I have published a load of guides for stuff and several full length Beneath speedruns of this game if you have the time to watch anything, Jack
But advice wise:
- Use the compass at the top of the screen to reach the shops and buy more health as well as spend energy, the yellow arrow indicates shops, the blue arrow indicates exits (or progression points), and orange arrow is for an important cage-match type thing needed for progression that I explained a bit more below. (sorry if this is something you already realised).
- If a compass arrow appears as very small then you need to descend or ascend to the floor/height that the arrow is pointing to, either up or down.
- Go further and further beneath beyond Caves III to Crystal Caverns, then Ruins, then the first Boss and a big chunk of progression can be found in Ruins III
- Use the spectre class to move more quickly away from enemies, the tradeoff is health is terrible, keep going as Brawler to stay alive more readily.
- Ignore the Pursuer if you run into it, it can't be killed, and disappears if you get to the next level
- Rescuing the apostate allows you to fight minibosses called Shard Lords, the apostate fight can be found on an orange coloured arrow somewhere in the first sections Caves I-III.
- Hit the crystal crabs in their legs, hit the floating heads when they're about to charge or when their eyes are glowing, they're much weaker
- There's no obligation to kill everything to progress to later levels, it just helps with money and energy for upgrades
- Gold upgrades buy stuff specifically for that run, purple energy buys stuff that lasts forever, if you spend any of that energy in a shop with a little guy in the corner, it's banked forever so you can't lose it regardless of what happens on that run
I hope that's sufficient for another episode, but there are 10,000+ community maps to check out as well, and more Arena challenges to check out than those you did when you last played this, as well as a fifth scenario level.
Jack you can hold the attack button instead of tapping it to swing instead of jabbing. You find shops in the caves for permanent upgrades and if you hit the crystal crabs in the legs it will do much more damage to them. The crystal is their shield.
