Hell yeah bro! Sweet build, nice welds. I got a subsoiler for my kubota tractor to dig trenches. Works great for drainage or water/electric lines. I’m about to put power into my barn it’s about 150ft long trench. Been running off of 2 extension cords 😂
I used 7 rail spikes welded in a slightly staggered row to create a dirt saw. 8" rocks roll up and out of the ground. It cuts a 2" wide path about a foot deep in 2 passes.
@@DougL12 I will try to get one of my kids to post a video on here somewhere. I didn't really think it was a remarkable item. I basically just copied the old horse drawn ice saw idea but staggered the teeth. I was a bit surprised at the size of the rocks that would get caught in the teeth and just roll right up out of the ground.
To: Mr. DougL: First, your video is VASTLY Better than the UA-cam video by the professional studios of TrenchBadger. You do Closeups. They show the man from 15 feet away and we can't see what the Heck he's doing. -- I had to quit watching yours at 46 seconds because your shaking camera was giving me a genuine headache. I didn't need to watch it because I already have a factory-built item like you're building. I just saw "Buliding a trench digger" (sorry about the misspelling) and hoped for something different.
Good job and you got a nice collection of s series trucks
Cool build. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
