Thanks for the suggestion! I did take a couple of photos of the location of the connector, but it's not easy to clearly see with the top radiator hose, air box/mounting bracket for the airbox and PCM located nearby. I just updated this video's description section with a link to my video where I replace the Chevy SSR main cooling fan which includes a good view of the location of the this wiring harness connector. Here's the link to the SSR cooling fan replacement if you haven't already viewed that video. ua-cam.com/video/VugEWlWRVDM/v-deo.html
Not related to this video. I just purchased a 2004 SSR with 7,600 miles. I see a lot videos referring to fixes on this vehicle. Is this car reliable or is it prone to many fixes? Thanks. Enjoy all your videos I have watched.
In general, the Chevy SSR is a reliable vehicle. It's powered by a very stable powertrain which is also used in the Chevy Trailblazer. The Chevy SSR is is now 17 to 20 years old. Any vehicle that old, no matter the mileage, will have some age related issues. Proper maintenance is key to keeping your SSR on the road and reliable. There are some well known areas that need attention for the SSR (automatic gear shift linkage bushing, radiator cooling fan, roof door module and roof hydraulics). There are solutions for all of the those items. I would strongly encourage you to check out the website www.simple-engineering.com for items to help keep your SSR on the road. Check out the website www.ssrfanatic.com which has a large owner community with a great amount of information to help you maintain your SSR.
New ssr and really enjoy your videos! As a 71 year old non-mechanic I can tell what to hire out, and what I can do myself (with your video help)
Thanks 👍
What would have made this video even better would be pointing to where this connection is located under the hood to help locate and inspect.
