That to me makes it interesting. Is it herd mentality that makes this shit so anticipated or is legit hype? Idk, but I’m kinda anticipating it solely because of the reasoning. But then again, if Wu Kong didn’t come out until 8 years I would be just as hype as people are about cyber punk. So I guess I understand.

The core plot of this game is based on "Journey to the West", one of the four classic Chinese classics. Without this understanding, you may not be able to understand some of the settings in the game.
That is true, but I think even people who aren't familiar with Journey to the West will really enjoy it. And hopefully (if it gets a good english translation) they might get into the story and actually read it

DAMN it reminds me of god of war combine wth fable and dynasty warriors/samurai warriors all bunch together as rpg. This is epic. Krato and Wukong is immortal and they steal god's power. Only diffrences is kratos steal their powers to use while kong can transform to their kind and use their powers. OP
I would say it is comparable with ghost, i hope the storyline gonna be good, this is a much bigger character so they gonna have much more attention from the community to beat ghost, if they are doing well.
What if the whole time it was just actually an animated video ?!? and the camera system and character model movements wasn't controlled but just animated -gameplay style
