I really love that second beat. I think that's a jam! Question. When you drag the midi out can you change the drum kit and it still play the midi you dragged out?
Cheers man! Do you mean hydroplane? It is possible but more difficult. I've got one of DJ Woody's Grind Strips installed on my pt01 so I can get a similar sound. I made a quick video with it a while back ua-cam.com/video/5Gmbt0whAVk/v-deo.html
I realize you're not NI, but they don't offer tech support and was hoping you could help. Every drum machine I have has a sync tempo to DAW button except NI. When i play rudiments patterns they won't sync to the DAW tempo. Any tips? thank you. G
Hey, so I've never had any issue with Rudiments not syncing but I'll help if I can. Rudiments is meant to automatically sync to your DAW, could it just be that the input quantization is off (it's top left in the pattern page)? What DAW are you using? Do you have Rudiments loaded up in Kontakt 7 or are you running through Komplete Kontrol?
Thank you for replying. I have several of the drum play series and they all have problems running through Kontakt 7 and Reaper. no maschine and no hardware. I have to leave the input quant off or it sounds really bad. Once in a while it seems to accidentally lock but most of the time it doesn't. NI is no help at all. I really appreciate you taking the time to help. Gordon@@TheKitComplete
Thank you for helping me. I use Reaper, windows 10 and Kontakt 7 to run NI Drum player libraries like Rudiments. I finally figured out - with help from many of you - that the NI drum players are not like the typical drum machine/players , like XO, Playbeat, Ujam. Rudiments DOES automatically adjust to the tempo of the DAW session, but DOES NOT auto adjust and sync/snap to the grid. So, if I’m playing a present pattern, I need to manually lock it in to the grid. If I’m off the downbeat a little bit when I strike C3 on the keyboard to play a pattern, Rudiments will not adjust it for me - it will be off. Also, if I’m latching and I switch to a different pattern - going from 88bpm to 140 bpm for example -XO, Ujam, etc will auto adjust the tempo and snap the new pattern to the grid. Rudiments will not. The new pattern in Rudiments will sound like garbage. I need to start over each time I switch to a new set of patterns and manually lock the new pattern to the grid. A little cumbersome, but now that I finally understand what the limitations are of the NI drum players, I can deal with it. It doesn’t explain this in the manual and I didn’t finally get an answer from NI tech support (after more than a month of trying) till yesterday. Maschine may auto correct & snap the preset pattern to the grid, but it doesn’t work that way in Kontakt 7. Thank you, again. Gordon@@TheKitComplete

Sick cuts on the portable. Can you hydrophonic on that thing?

Not sure if it’s the same. Maybe it’s spelled hydroponic. If you search hydroponic reverse, it’s the scratch in that vid. Let me know
This one ua-cam.com/video/oOjyak_jWeo/v-deo.html ? Yeah that's a one handed hydroplane. I've never heard it called a hydroponic before
My buddy came up scratching with the piklz and that’s what they called and I think he invented it
But I prob have it wrong. It’s the only one I know by name other than the triple click 😂
At minute 4:30 you play a guitar sample. Where is that guitar sample from? Thanks
