I got the head cold the first week of November. My 2 sister in laws and I got it after we went to a quilt festival.

I have 4 Lori Holt books/patterns and the same one as you with the sewing machine. I just got a Scan N Cut DX 85 for my birthday in July. I picked it out. I read that all the mats have to be DX mats.
I caught that cold the Monday before Thanksgiving. I cannot remember ever having just a plain old head cold, but I sure had one this time. I ran fever and had a drainage cough but it never moved into my chest. It took a solid week to go away and the cough lingered a couple of weeks more. I quarantined myself in my sewing rooms and the guest bedroom so my husband never caught it. We had a quiet Christmas Day but the grands came from Atlanta the next day and the fun began! I hope Keith gets well soon and y’all have the best new year ever.

I know how you feel. I caught "it" from my hubby and I was sick almost the entire month of November and I coughed so hard for so long (5 days nonstop) that I cracked a rib. Just now getting over the rib, still hurts some, but much better.
I have that darn headcold right now! It’s going on 2 weeks!!! I’m so sick of this darn cold!!!! Glad you are feeling better!

My sister and I got sick on day 5 of a 10 day cruise just before Christmas. I drove us back from Charleston to my home(VA) and she was in the hospital the next day! Horrible cruise crud, coughing, wheezing and just miserable. We are both fine now but still a little weak. Hope your crud is gone and your hubby is back to normal soon! Please wear masks on ship!

Sorry to hear you and Keith had the crud! Thankfully you are on the mend and hope by now (since I'm a few days late on this video) Keith is too. I've had a couple of different types of cruds since Thanksgiving and just can't seem to get well. Haven't had a voice for weeks, haha! I didn't know they had fabric to go with the 'Guess How Much I Love You' books, how perfect would it be to gift the quilt and one of the books?! Happy New Year to you and Keith, stay well!

That nasty little bug is up here in north Texas too! I had to go to the doctor Wednesday and get steroids and antibiotics too. Glad you are feeling better. I did some sewing today too. Becky, I love all your projects. Super cute. Had to laugh when you pulled out Guess How Much I Love You fabrics. I just bought enough to make 2 girl & 2 boy baby quilts for my future grandchildren, not yet born. My sons aren't even married yet. 🤣 Guess How Much I Love You was our favorite book when my boys were little. Those fabrics are adorable. Thank you for all of your great videos. My Brother sew/embroidery Dreamweaver 6200D ($5000.00) had issues. The side plug was plugged in but the on/off button on the front would not go on. I had to jiggle the side plug to get it to go on and stay on. It did not stay on sometimes. I took it to my repair man who was worried about getting a part if needed, parts are not available he said. I was so distressed hearing this. I bought this wonderful machine in 2014, but, have not used it all that much. Especially not embroidery. I bought the stitch regulator ($1000.00) and the largest Dime magnetic hoop ($169.00) which I have not ever used yet.
This Brother machine won awards and after I purchased it, it was discontinued after I purchased it due to new machines being released by Brother.
I sure hope Brother parts are available if needed. We cannot just keep buying new machines because the Brother parts are not available.
Yes, unfortunately some parts are not available for older models. I have the opposite problem with my Quattro 6000D. If the foot pedal is plugged in, and then I unplug it, the go button won't work. Also, my needle center is configured backwards. Machines!
I can relate to your head cold Becky. I started with the stuffy head on Christmas Eve and full blown head cold on Christmas Day. I spent Christmas Day in bed and missed seeing family. I'm much better now and hope you are too. Happy New Year to you and Keith!

I was given a Husqvarna designer1 that uses floppy. I got a card reader and software that converts files to shv for my D1.
I'm finishing up DBJJ Farmhouse tablerunner. To your video on the fall runner helped me all the way. I bought 4 runners by DBJJ. Love them all. I'm converting them to a topper as I have a small round table.
We had it at Christmas. Postponed Gifts til yesterday.

Are you sure you didn't have Covid? Everything you said about sore throat, sooooo tired etc is what I started with on Dec 3. I too was on an antibiotic. That Sunday I took a test and it was Covid. The past few days I am finally getting back some energy. Get well soon to you and Keith and Happy New Years !!!
No sore throat, no fever, and I still kept my sense of smell & taste. So the doc didn't even test for it. No anitbiotic either, just steroids to open up my lungs a little bit. Glad you're on the mend!

Did you use tacky glue or hot glue to assemble your buildings? Trying to decide what I will do.
I tried them all with no luck. So I hot glued mine! lol Worked great!

Becky, do you need to bring a sewing machine on the cruise?
No all machines and kits are provide unless you do open sew.
There will be machines provided and you can use them outside of the classes as long as you left them as you found them.

There are machines on the ship for us to use. Just bring a project to work on (if you want) and your favorite notions. No scissors longer than 4" in your carry on.
