Dave thank you so much for your videos, your series on painting wooded boxes helped me with the painting of my sailing ship, which turned out from the first stroke of paint like I imagined I wanted it to look.
I just tapped on the lastcavalry link and it said comment reported. I don't know what happened. I love your videos and thank you for posting them. I really love the gear you show. Ultra cool stuff.
Very nice video. The soldiers left home as young boys but came back as old men, that is if they came back at all. It was like this on both sides of the War and I believe you captured this exactly with this figure. I like your video's and I hope I can paint figures as good as you do one day!
Very helpful video - thanks! You said at the beginning of the first part which size brushes you used for the whole project but I don't think you've mentioned them again since then - out of interest which are you using for the face, or are you switching between more than one for different tasks. Thanks, Rob
Great video Dave! I would like to know the Vallejo equivalent color numbers for the Andrea Color paint you've used in the vid. Andrea Color is not obtainable in The Netherlands.
Rob, thank you! Here is a list of Vallejo colors that I also use for skin tones. Base: Beige Red 804, Shadow: Mahogany Brown 846 mixed with Beige Red, Dark Red 946, Flat Flesh 955, Light Flesh 928. You can also email thru the Last Cavalry website.
Dear Friend, great job, your videos are really really addictive !!! Do you have any special formula to work in peace without having to listen to background music: "did you go to grocery?", "hung clothes?" "bought diapers for the girls?", "changed her?", "filled the bottles?" and blah blah?, hehehe. Man, I really enjoy your videos, at least I return to my hobby in the hands of someone else, lol. Thanks for share! Your follower of Argentina, John.
Thanks, Got it. Can you also give a short comment on the delution of the different flashes during the highliting. I mean # of drops or any other hints to get the right proportion for blanding. Thank you in advance.

Nice vid thanks for doing it
Thanks!!
Which brushsize would you prefere for painting the eyes?
I use either a 2/0 or a 3/0 but you can use larger if the brush has a good point!
LastCavalry Historical Toys and Hobbies Ok Thanks (Ps:Sry for my Bad english, im german:)
🤔
awesome !!!!
Do you use another wet brush for the "fast blanding" or the same you put colour ?
Same brush, just cleaned with water and the excess removed on a paper towel. Good question!
Thanks, Got it. Can you also give a short comment on the delution of the different flashes during the highliting. I mean # of drops or any other hints to get the right proportion for blanding. Thank you in advance.
When painting highlights just keep the paint mix very thin - 75% water to 25% paint.
