As a solo casual player DMZ is so frustrating right now. I just do not want to play so much PvP or I would be playing Warzone instead.

Don’t play solo this is not a Lone Ranger game mode u been watching to many solo players
Its the Best part of dmz, it would be boring without it
Solo guide (PvE only enthusiast):
#1 Learn the spawns (or just look them up)
#2 Upon spawning, avoid other spawn locations and intentionally create a big gap to those (travel towards the centre of the map)
#3 Get a vehicle (preferably the fastest or if you don’t like the heli, get the 2nd fastest (the GMC). A mobile solo is always more difficult to kill - NEVER go by foot across vaster distances)
#4 Barter for the comms vest (which is quite easy tbh. As soon as you get the audio queue get into your vehicle and leave)
So you think a mode like having operators interact and decide weather they battle it out would be better? Like you can’t shoot each other unless both parties agree to a battle?
There has been a definite increase in PvP violence the last couple of days, really aggressive, spawn point hunting, it used to be even on ashika you could hide or just get on with it while the other teams did their missions but it’s turned into the Wild West.
Solos have nearly no chance, time for us socially awkward losers to get talking to each other.
Yeah a proper team would help a lot but i still enjoy those solo rounds
im usually only one good guy shy of a squad

The toxic players are on the rise as well. Had several encounteres recently where I come across a team claiming friendly only to shoot as soon as they see us....
Yep! They pick me up but on my squad I’m the ONLY person who ever gets fully downed before joining. I legit steal these fucks shit when they go down cause you don’t greet friendlies by killing them idiots!
I concur. DMZ was awesome when everyone was busy with missions and AI. Now, it is just an abattoir!
Yeah its fine if I also want to go pvp but its not nice when I'm still doing quests while being solo.. As a solo I've never had more than 1 insured slot (not in any season) because finishing the quests is hard solo.. and you cant do it in random squads because everyone just rush around to pvp

Kind of wouldn’t mind seeing a solos only setup for DMZ. Like you can choose solo only or PVE/P, no “joining up” or anything like that, just pure solo infiltrators.
I was just talking about this. We need some type of punishment system that gos after those that only do pvp on DMZ. We have people who play DMZ for pvp because it’s easier for them to get kills. I was thinking like putting a crazy 100k bounty and the hunt squad mechanic on each player till they leave or get smoked.
Other games have systems in place for balancing like this. DMZ needs something because people can’t play missions and such because all people do is hunt players for kills (especially streamers).
My problem is how will the game single these players out? Detect those that use DMZ for pvp only?
It can’t be based on missions because there’s a lot of time between missions. How can we detect them?

@@oaguirrre1 only people crying will be the ones who suck at multiplayer so they come to the DMZ game mode to pvp. If you do t like it then bring up a reason why the idea won’t work. Unless your a kid. Then I understand why you respond like that
The division did a system where if you shot first you got marked. And not just for the squad you shot, for the whole lobby. Maybe if you kill you show up on the map for like 2 minutes or something and it stacks the more you kill
I saw a video where someone was talking about a karma system for dmz where doing a lot of pvp would mark you as hostile and doing friendly things would mark you as friendly, which is a good idea IMO except I would probably also add something to it for the comms vest like it will tell you that theirs hostile or "peacekeeper" operators nearby.
“Bad sport” lobbies would work. They would just get their own medicine by a better squad lol
Me and my friend have played roughly since the beginning of DMZ. I have actually, but im not sure about my friend. I've noticed that PVP is getting extremely out of hand in DMZ with this season. We literally spawned in, were at the lighthouse in Al Maz, went to that hotel or whatever to get a dinghy. As soon as we went to drive off a team gunner us down, random escaped, gave the enemy team the slip then revived us. We went to...that flooded city, got jumped by a team again, probably the same team from the beginning and they finished us off. It's insane, and we didn't have anything worth looting at all
Im stuck on this mission cause i cant find a gold or damascus dog tag lol. As a solo, the other 2 objectives were very hard to accomplish. Its hard playing with randoms cause i can maneuver around the map quickly by myself whereas with a team you gotta make sure everyone is on the same page or else you’re screwed
Yeah they messed up putting so many missions requiring you to kill operators… it makes PvP inevitable in dmz… kinda annoying and inevitable in a party and difficult as a solo.
Its why I don't play much anymore. Its not fun
@@gk8334 yeah I just play cause it’s challenging. Idc about the missions. I have my 3 insured slots. I play with friends just to fill a slot to help them with there’s.
Solo is ridiculous, especially when you just want some quiet time and go kit up or just get out and do missions. Sometimes you get lucky and get picked up or most of the time you got dropped and looted. Solo dmz is a must.
If i could only convince my friends to give DMZ a good try like you made Jack. He seems to like it
Crazy thing is the pyro guards are any of the guys in orange suits. They spawn all over the map not just by the pyro boss so technically if he’s at the post office you can complete the mission with no keys
That’s how I did it. I killed the pyro through the upstairs window and killed the ai in the outside area.
You can use incendiary rounds on LMGs and other weapons that have them to complete this mission, you don't have to use Mollies

Pro-tips: Every enemy in the building is considered a pyro guard, and fire kills count with the dragons breath rounds on the shotgun the pyro drops. Also, helps to not try this mission when 2/3 of your squad have only a 1 plate vest lol.
That's not true at all. When my squad did that mission, if we killed the regular level 2 guys, it wouldn't count. Would only count if we killed the guys in orange who throw the molotovs.

In my opinion it's due to the missions being so hard at the higher tiers to where you don't even want to attempt to do them.

@jeffdavid3880 i still don't have my third slot.. alot of the mission are just too intensive for me I don't have a whole squad I play with nor do I have the time to play all day and night to accomplish alot of these missions. I have already given up

I love how easily Westie over looks crucial items. When you kill the pyro, he drops a tempered vest. He looks right at it, then went on his way. Still equipped with a one plate vest 🤣🤣

I remember also opening the crane control room and finding out that the other side was opened before, just to get a quick ping of the scav being nearby then disappearing, only to find that the person that the scav nicked the dogtag of had the documents so I was able to being them out thankfully. I just need to open the control room without someone else doing it but it's hard when doing it solo
In fact, I think I was narrowly avoiding your team since I remember a heli going to that exact gas station and find that exact crane door being open... the scav must have helped me since the documents were just inside the walled in building area nearby the control room
I used to solo DMZ a lot more but there has been such an influx of sweaty tryhards that it's just not fun solo anymore.

It seem PvP kicks off more when players complete all their faction missions as I guess it’s the only thing left to do is hunt for good contraband guns

So sometimes i deploy with a team or solo and half the time im either lagging out due to rubbish server latency or the Feral AI Lazer blasting me from like 100M away or if im trying to do objectives players snipe me from 300M away or they Exfil Camp and if i try to explain that im friendly and solo they drop me anyway

I heard something from the past saying that the maps I’m DMZ have bumped up the max amount of squads they can have in one lobby. This was around mid-season 2 I think. I don’t know if it’s right though. But if it is, it helps explain all the PVP chaos we all have to deal with!
What if DMZ added “dragging” like dragging a teammate behind cover when they’re KIA or downed so instead of having a player slowly crawl to cover or stay in an open spot when Kia they can be quickly pulled to cover for a better and fair chance of revive and survival.
Side note if a player gets Kia in water you have a real chance of saving them by carrying them to surface.
DMZ is getting a little sweaty. I don’t mind the pvp however it’s getting a little out of hand. There’s lots of incentive now that you can take their backpacks. Everyone seems to spawn kill just to gear up instead of looting.
For those who don't want to pvp the entire game for the scavenger, try doing secure Intel contracts, which can tell you commander/boss locations. I advise doing it on ashika though since there's less bosses and player bodies are closer
I think DMZ has started implementing SBMM. It used to feel like random squads, some good, some bad. Now it's constantly skilled players. Takes the fun out of it for me.

I had a solo player give the friendly bounce thing & my random squad team mate shot him in the back.felt well bad for the dude but i couldn't rez him..
The problem is once you start completing all the missions, the missions start promoting pvp in the later tiers. I’m on the mission where I have to kill enemy operators with lachman platform weapons 50m+
I’m just trying to unlock all the insurance weapon slots
Maybe they should remove all pvp from DMZ. Or make two modes of DMZ: pvp and pve.

Hey West, good video and yeah it's not just frustrating it isses me of that the game I had so high hopes for died soo quick.... I mean I play WZ1 literally 12-16h a day same as I played DMZ in the Beginning like crazy
But after I got all Missions done I boarded the Game so bad

It seems as though they have changed the spawns? Starting on Monday we were snipped nearly immediately upon spawning in. If we're being snipped in the first 2 minutes, you can count on someone activating a Squad Hunt Contract too. The last few weeks have been amazing, but something has changed. the Bots are nearly out of control as well.

I figured a fix for player demeanor in dmz. If you kill players more often than you complete contracts or missions you will be targeted by ai… like the stars in gta. More stars equals meaner ai on you. Im talkin tanks and birds… you foster a pve mentality and bots tend to not notice you as much as others who do pk
Man I am doing that AI patrol truck mission I have to find 4 and destroy them at the oasis. .I mean there's nothing there.. Ran into 2 teams last night. They saw me pass them with the truck then rushed to kill me for no reason all the way out there.. Then battled it out for whatever reason
It's been out of hand, it's a bunch of lazy whimps and punks who chase and try to kill other players to steal their loot because they don't have enough skill to do the missions themselves

@Westie Tip for the future.... when entering most strongholds and ket holds enter thru the top ( embassy has multiple top entrances ) cuz it prevents reinforcements from getting I to the buildings 9/10 times cuz they can't open doors that are still locked.

I always try and team up so when i kill smaller teams i feel bad unless they talk sh. This missions gonna be rough.

The worst thing is when someone is camping at an exfil and the exfil is in a spot where it's super open and then the few times I've just been jumped by three players hiding in rocks.
Do secure hostage contracts. I’ve been running solo lately, and it is the only way I can exfil successfully. Find one near the end of the round (about 5 mins or less on radiation timer). That way, most players will be moving to go camp the usual exfil points while you can rotate away from those locations. Either way, it’s getting pretty tricky as a solo player.
I love that yall let the exfillers live! Nothing worse than leaving Al Mazra trying to be a ninja doing an extraction of the hostage only to get shot from the choppper as it leaves!
PvP isn’t getting out of hand, 6 man pre made teams are. Anyone that does it should be banned

Doing the Scavenger mission is easiest on Ashika. Small map so can kill other players quickly. Leave the area and wait for him to show and can get to him faster then in Al Mahzra

Shooting at the guy while he is carrying the hostage is kind a bad.
Use the fire barrels, let them come to you until they pass the barrel, then blow it up.
The quest to camp exfils should be revised for crown lvl. It promotes being a scumbag lol.
I feel like you can just blow up the fire barrels or the oil on the floor😅

Ex-fil campers, they are the bane of my life these days. Making me fall out of love with DMZ, which for me, is the best CoD mode of all time.
It's damn near nonstop pvp and immediate 6 team squads

I don’t really mind the pvp now that it’s full blown. It rewards the smarter players who choose their moments rather than in warzone where aggression is paramount. I’ve found DMZ actually more enjoyable with the pvp aspect now so prevalent. Until they buff AI, or at least make them more of a threat and add more purpose to avoiding pvp, I quite enjoy the more dynamic atmosphere. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made insane plays in DMZ because I’ve learned to fight a lot smarter and more patiently.

Ashika was lovely yesterday, Al Maz was not terrible but the level 3 flooding the map in the hundreds after gas spreads is insane. The pvp was like 20 percent an issue yeaterday. But when it did happen it was quick and abrupt. Being in a six man team is a liability as many feel like they dont have to care. I always play solo mindset and need to stop sharing cars etc
Just as a "for your information" the mission to take out the pyro and guards with fire ... Incendiary rounds count as fire ... For now I will say
I only ever kill the french players, most other players get a chance to join forces and do missions. Only fight others when provoked

This wasn't a particularly crazy match tbf, they went looking for squads and wiped them. "out of hand" would be like they are constantly running into multiple squads and buy stations, exfills, dead drops, are all constantly camped.. this seems like a normal run to me haha

I think only shorthanded squads should have the ability to join teams and only to a max of 3 people. The 6 man push is pretty hard to stop and quite frankly pathetic to see squads looking for a safe 1/6 of a kill.

@@DMZESSX yea the only way I've teamed recently was ppl who would rather not fight on ashika wich I found surprising and then on al mazrah a whole 3 man some how pleaded then me and a friend cleaned up the other team both really good matches but other then that the only teaming I've seen is a pre made 6 man 😐

Really dont like the stupid shoulder view that takes a quarter of the screen. IW loves it though as even when you set the spectator view to the normal one it switches to this one automatically.
