Jee main physics and chemistry is of same level as that of NEET Physics and chemistry if we compare the recent years paper.
So,the paper difficulty level is same.
And competition is still more in NEET.

Competition is increasing every year, but fairness of exam is decreasing every year. Your percentile might increase a little bit, but your rank will still be low. Next year cutoff will probably be around 95%ile. Do not take drop unless you are absolutely sure you can get 99.5+ %ile.

i just want to share my story and result as a dropper i got 91.77%ile in jee main 95krank 2023 6april s2 104 marks,jee adv 100 marks didn't get a rank cause 6 marks in maths.so i decided to take a drop on 21 june i started my prep till 11 july i studied really well then on 12th of july my father met with an accident so my father is a shopkeeper and my mom is a housewife so i have to go on shop till 20th of august i barely was able to study 4-5 hours per day due to this my mental state also got very much disturbed still i tried to study as much as possible then afterward i start studying but still i have to go to shop for 3-4 hours everyday till dec still i give my best i solved 2013 to 2022 jm pyq and completed and give around 18 mocks of jm 2023 and cope up to study 8-10 hours per day in last i was scoring 180-200 continiously and but before two days i got very high fever of 102 i also have around 101 fever on the day of exam day so due to which i under perform and i ended up scoring 154 marks in 27 s1 so i was thinking yr chlo 97 %ile to aa hi jayega pichle saal jan me har kisi ko 98%ile to aahigya tha ispe but i was shocked after seeing result i got 91.5 which was below last year i literally cried two days and was not able to study ki yaar ye kya hogya still i gave jm 2024 all mock and studied for adv i was scoring near 200-220 in mocks i also score 201 in 31s2 and gave ayjr both papers in which i score 185 and 192 so i thought ab to is baar acha chljayega 200 marks ajayege atleast 97 to aahijayega but this time my exam centre got changed from previous as my centre was divided into 5-6 labs and literally my lab condition was so bad that my computer got hang before 5 min and it got correct after 10 min of starting of exam my table on which i had to write and it was so below and i was not able to write clearly mtlb yr pura table jese pen ki ink lgi thu me agla paper krta tha to uspe ink lgi hoti thi i requested them to change but they didnt i literally screwed my paper mai itna jaise panic krgya tha i scored 149 marks in 9s2 jisme mene 8-9 que mai negative krdiye jaldi jaldi solve krne mai due to panicness i also thought ki isme to 4 que bilkul glt lgrhe 3 phy ke aur ek poc wala jiska ans 15 diya tha but still they didnt give it bonus and i ended up getting 95.64%ile and 67 k rank 🙃 mtlb yr paper dene ke baad itni halt khrab hogyi thi ki mene apna sir itni jor se diwaar me mara agle din aur mtlb me terris pe jake..... but still i didnt because i want to live my life i donot have any regret i gave my best i know please dont give me any hate like nishant jindal "tera nhi hua to tune pka mehnat hi nhi ki hogi" i just want to share my experience thats its mene ek baat seekhli is jee ki tyari ki har baar sirf mehnat krne se hi sflta nhi milti agr koi chij tumhare liye nhi hai to tumhe nhi milege😊plz yr agr koi drop lene ki sochrha hai to yr tbhi lena agr tum ye sb mental trauma vgera jhel skte ho nta ki trf se and agr tumhe koi college nhi milrha agr milrha hai shi sa jisme branch theek ho to plz yr mt lena ho ske to.nobody deserve this much stress and getting these kind of results,thankyou and have a great journey everyone😊

The fact that they have taken 1000 students less from general category for jee advanced this year compared to last even though the total candidates have increased by more than 4 lakh from last year is so unfair.
Get used to it...!!!!!!! Here in neet,,,the cutoff is 98+ percentile to get into the most "basic and peripheral" medical college.
No last it was around 9 lakh . This time it's 15.65 lakh candidates no comparison

Sir, I want to share my experience with you. I'm a partial dropper and I had 95%tile in 2023 and 79 marks in Advanced, and scored decent in Physics, all credits to you. This year, it was a lot harder considering my college curriculum and JEE at the same time. Note : For both the shifts, I studied just 2-3 days and both the JEE Mains were my first Mock tests 🙂. Since my college kept us busy most of the time with flooded Assignments, Submissions, etc, still I managed 9.95 CGPA in 1st semester. And I had 27th January S2 in 2024, which I got 142 marks and 92.27%tile and 96%tile in Physics. I barely had idea if I would clear the cutoff with that marks or not, so listening to my heart, I just filled the form for the second shift, which was just before my college second semester end-semesters, which ended today. I had about 124 marks in 5 April S1 and had lost hopes, but somehow I had a good score in Mathematics and Physics which saved me. And for Physics, its entire credits to you !! I got 95%tile in Physics, I know its not that good but I got 93.6%tile and somehow, I've crossed that dangerously close barrier. My main target right now is Advanced. And under your guidance, I promise, I wont give up !!

@@_30keerthana Yes but make sure that you'll score more than this year in your drop year otherwise drop is just waste of money and time. Take some time and think about it 100 times before taking a drop. And also this year cut off goes to 93% tile I can make sure that next it will go up to 94.5 or 95 percentile. So take drop if you're sure that you can score above 95.
