I do not believe any of the rifle cases are reloadable right now. Once there is a reloading solution for the rifle case I think it’ll be only a short matter of time before nas3 cases are used commonly
I recently moved my mpvo from my 16” to 13.7 for a more rounded “do as much as possible” gun so I’m training with less stuff and focusing on building as my skills around it as possible. I’m loving it. Now that I have a nice lpvo sitting around I keep looking at it and wanting to put it on my 10.5 but it’s seemed so out of place to do so… it’s getting mounted up when I get home now to test out some different loads as a compact truck gun for opportunity varmints

11.5" is my preferred 5.56 SBR length. I have a Geissele Super Duty. This was a very interesting video. I'll probably never shoot as far as you did, since I live in a very forested area where sightlines beyond 200 yards are rare (highways and large parking lots being the main exceptions). I've been seeing more companies making bi-metal cases for higher pressure loads. I'm sure it will be a while before they start becoming more commonplace, but I'm looking forward to any advances.
Something to keep in mind--10.3 already wears out a lot faster than longer barrel lengths even with normal ammunition. Typically parts start failing around the 5,000 round mark or so. With a higher pressure ammo that wear will be accelerated. That is one advantage that the 11.5 has over the 10.3, I'd personally say its the main advantage.
That being the case, many people who would shoot 5k rds on a 10.3 would not have plenty of spare parts laying around or would care about parts wear. And average dudes don't run 5k worth of rounds, on a single rig, to have parts wear be of concern.

My defensive load of choice for both my MK18 and my 12.5” middy (my main squeeze) is Hornady Black 5.56 75 gr Interlock HD SBR. Both are dedicated suppressor hosts, and that round was optimized for suppressed SBR’s (hence the name). It’s a soft point bullet that was designed to expand and/or fragment at a slightly lower velocity than most other 556 loads and it has a significantly reduced flash and sound signature vs other defensive loads I’ve tried.. I get literally ZERO flash signature at night out of my 12.5 with a Sandman K fitted with a 556 fh end cap, which is widely considered to be one of the flashier cans on the market. The best part, however, is how much cleaner the ammo burns. I haven’t tested it head to head vs other defensive rounds, but just based on my own experience I would estimate you can probably shoot 2X’s the amount you normally do between cleanings as you could with some standard m193 or m855 load. Even ACC or IMI 77’s are way dirtier than this stuff. It’s the ish man you should def check it out.
I’m sup prized by these group sizes. I run Daniel defense right off the shelf and shoot sierra blitz kings at 2550 out of a 11.5 with rc 2 10x scope sub moa all day. Much better typically. Cold bore. Same set up in 14.5 same results. Only thing changed is the triggers. I think your a better shooter then I am. Is this typical accuracy out of these guns. 20 years ago I had to get custom work done to get sub moa rifles. Now it seems you can just buy a Daniel. Love the vids.
Straight 20rd PMAG’s have issues. None of mine would chamber the last two rounds. I called magpul and they swapped all my straight ones with the curved design and now I have zero issues. 11.5” with 69gr is KING 😎
I’m far from an expert here as I only have 1 day on the range with the high pressure ammo so keep that in mind…. My guess however is yes, the higher pressure/ higher velocity ammo will cause some level of increased wear in the rifle. I’m also thinking with how readily available and affordable replacement parts are, that increased wear is a small price to pay for the performance you gain from this ammo
Good info. Watched a video of shorter barrel guns. Asked about long range use and they said the guns weren’t built for it. I think I’ll go with a 11.5 with 69 gr smk. I was looking for a gun for the house that could be used out at ranch to 700.

Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for supporting the channel!
Man that trigger cam footage is a trip. 🤣
Yeah I’m sorry about that…. I didn’t realize the thing was having issues until I started editing 🤦♂️
@MountainsMulletsMerica no worries brother. We love what you do. Some times we have to work around things.
Straight 20rd PMAG’s have issues. None of mine would chamber the last two rounds. I called magpul and they swapped all my straight ones with the curved design and now I have zero issues.
11.5” with 69gr is KING 😎
Do you think your higher pressure rounds are affecting/accelerating BCG wear? Great vid!!! Thank you!
@MountainsMulletsMerica Very valid point!
I would love to see this ammo out of an 18” barrel / SPR build. Really stretch it out and see how it compares to standard mk262 type loads
I have a mk12 mod 1 on the way…. Stay tuned and it’s happening! Fingers crossed I can get that video out in the next month to 6 weeks
@@MountainsMulletsMerica PSA mk12?
@@samlatone1763no, I thought about going with their upper but I wanted a mod 1. I went with a centurion complete rifle
@ stoked to see it perform.
I’d like to see something like the 10.3 or 11.5 put up against the 16
Good info. Watched a video of shorter barrel guns. Asked about long range use and they said the guns weren’t built for it.
I think I’ll go with a 11.5 with 69 gr smk. I was looking for a gun for the house that could be used out at ranch to 700.
How? Just how? This is insane!!!
Seeing is believing baby! Long barrels are overrated haha
