1950 125,536 population place needed all this transportation was very busy, lots of folks, they used to fill memorial stadium for H.S. football games !!! Now there's only a few people attending !!! Town is almost an empty ghost town !!!! 2 people riding the bus at any given time !!!
Only 2 of them left in existence 1 from pre war and one post war. Fortunately through coincidence both of them are now at electric city trolley museum in Scranton PA. They are going under full restoration to run on the former laurel line from the city to the baseball field. They are cars 342 and 505.
The jobs people then bigger prison there's nothing left specially now the pandamic messed that up worse nearly anny jobs more homeless c.i.c. there worthless then 1shelter during the pandamic I'm from North Eastern pa lackawanna county it's sad county no one wants to do nothing say where a mask complain about pandemic all day soup kitchen rescue mission that's your help sad sad sad 👎👎👎😭😭😭
