ROBERT BUTLER It has to do entirely with aesthetics and to some extent longevity. But with costlier spares and longer time to service. Please contact us for rolling shutter and sliding gate Indian motors with 2 year warranty, www.dynador.com
Cantilever gates make only sense when you're in an area with snow in winter, because normal sliding gates can easily freeze shut to the track or leave the track etc. For South Africa it doesn't make much sense
@@petrusliebenberg3915 I totally agree..Also no leaves can get stuck or stones blocking the gate. I'm busy building at the moment ( OK not at the moment due to lockdown ) but I think I'll give it a try with a cantilever gate when it gets to the gate.
Amongst other reasons, more often than not the track that supports the gate gets physically damaged by vehicles driving over them in addition to stones and grit getting into the runners. It's a common problem with tracked single gates.
I need information about this sistem, in México do you ha a branch?

Why would anybody spend a greater cost for a cantilever gate over a conventional sliding gate when the end result is the same?
