the dark aura around crazy Tig was noticeable. like there are moments in SOA and some samcro members, like Isaac… it’s seemingly the camera angle around them gets darker when some shit is about to go down. like Jax walking to Ally Lowmen in the trailer or when tara sees him holding the baby. Tigs was in death angel mode this scene

Tig was a fun character in Son's, but seeing him in this scene gave me chills and made me remember that they're in a biking gang.

Agreed. Mayans is such a terrible show that it forces me to view the characters in a realistic way for those in biker gangs. Low life losers with nothing interesting about them who are only entertaining or have any substance of any kind when they’re in a pack together. This scene and the Isaac killing Manny scene were awesome reminders of the few real cold blooded psychopaths in these groups. Mayans just doesn’t have any of those characters, which in my opinion makes it pointless. Yeah Alvarez and Bishop are good characters and you can’t have all nut jobs, but having the nut jobs like Tig and Isaac and all the others from SOA is the whole point in having an entertaining show about a biker gang. Unless the person watching is legit just into criminal biker gangs, in which case that person has sadder problems than a shitty show, in all honesty.
Like to better articulate if I may, Mayans is so uninteresting and terribly written compared to SOA, that I actually find myself watching this show and not at all invested in the characters, to the point where I start watching scenes like with Gilly at a family party wearing his biker costume and realizing what an absolute clown loser the guy is if you forget you’re watching a show and pretend it’s real life. Even an awesome and legit powerful character like Alvarez wouldn’t scare me to get in an argument or road rage incident with in every day life because he’s smart and sensible. Mayans just doesn’t have ANY characters who make my stomach turn thinking about how crazy and deranged they are and how there really are guys like them out there in the real world, the way a lot of the SOA characters did.

2 details about tig in this scene, around the neck area you can see the armalitescythes an homage to jax but yet he doesn't have the "in memory of opie" patch on the bottom of his cut maybe because he still felt guilty about opie and donnas death or maybe the producers just forgot
I like to think the former since he knew when Opie got thrown into the box it was his fault that Opie ended up in that situation

I completely missed the part where isaac was Packers brother, i was so confused when he showed up in a patch and destroyed poor manny and his potential in the series.
In season three if you watch some of the scenes where he’s shirtless you can see a reaper tattoo on his midsection.

I watch Mayans on Hulu all the time & love the show even though it's violent & dark sometimes. Some of the events that happened in this last season have me like wtf & some feeling a little meh but I've watched the whole show so far so I have to stick it out & love the performances of all the actors particularly the badass Emilio Rivera, J.D. Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, the legendary & chingon Edward James Olmos, Michael Irby, Raoul Max Trujillo, Danny Pino, Vanessa Giselle, Emily Tosta & of former castmates Tony Plana, Ada Maris, Antonio Jaramillo, Richard Cabral, Sulem Calderon, Jimmy Gonzales & the vatos who played El Palo, Manny & any others I forgot to mention. As for S.O.A. I watched it with familia when it was new & did til about season 3 & after saw it here & there thru reruns but still liked it. The acting was also great in that show. It's cool to see Happy Lowman (David Labrava), Montez (Jacob Vargas) & Tig Trager (Kim Coates) in here from S.O.A. I think Tig should have whacked Terry's ass for starting the whole war. He was so gung ho on it & I think had a vendetta against the Mayans & didn't even do any detective work to find out what happened to Montez as El Palo killed him & who was shady anyway. That jaina Jess too was dumb for even finding his old cut in the first place & bringing it to her sis & Terry smh.

I like the call back by having a gay guy like Taza killing Riz at the hospital in season 2. Now it’s Tig’s turn to do it to Terry in this season but failed. Elgin said if Kurt can do it, I can do it but better. I won’t be surprise if Isaac do the same thing to his brother Less Packer in the 5th season lol

If you read Hunter Thompsons book on the Hells Angel's, during the sixties and seventies the Angels would let gay guys blow them for money in gay bars in Hollywood. Who knows what happened but Hunter wrote a great book worth reading.

*This was debatably the most hype moment in the show. Always wondered why chibs rolled up to the meeting in season 2 without Tig, he was vulnerable with only Montez, Happy and Quinn. It goes to show that jax and clay made samcro what it was, they seem so imcomplete without them.*

Tig was interesting but he is living on borrowed time. Like how many members-how many people are dead cuz of him? Including his own daughter? And yeah hes got some personality but ultimately he is recalcitrant, capricious, and volatile. He was just Clay's attack dog, personal slave and suck-up, and just an extension of Clay. Like basically if Clay needed another person instead of just himself-for example, another vote besides his own when the club voted in the drugs-Tig was it. But thankfully, as Pope illustrated, Jax could twist that to his advantage.
