    always come back to GMB... great vid Ryan. The scapula & hip control you'd attain with these basic movements are just transformative for shoulder and back health

      Exactly - building that control makes the movements more applicable to various activities too.

    I envy (inspires me) not your fitness level or your knowledge which are very impressive but your heart. You seem a very decent person. Balanced, Humane and Healthy. Are there exercises for those? ☺ What books should I read? What movie is your favorite? What is your star sign occidental and chinese? What's the secret?

    Excellent and thank you. These moves aren't very glamorous, but as we get older we need more balance in our routine with emphasis on mobility and often neglected/forgotten areas.

    Hello Ryan. Thank you for creating this informative video session! These are fun movments! How do you flow between the movments? How do you prepare for the spiderman movment?

    • @gmbfit
      @gmbfit  2 роки тому +1

      Flow really means two things: getting really, really, really good at the basic movements through consistent practice, AND THEN spending an equal amount of time practicing making the transitions between them. There's no substitute for absolutely just doing a lot of practice.

    That skip the kip sign is funny.
    Also the middle sign foreshadows what animal movement is in the video but what is the animal movement based on the animal at the top of the sign?

    Can I do these on concrete floor? My living room has limited space. But we do have a large outdoor shuffle board court with canopy in the community. It is breezy and cool early in the morning. I could try doing these before my pool time.

    Is this a re-upload? Comments are older than the video, allegedly.
    Anyway, concerning the crab, I find it hurts the wrists a lot if you do it outside where the ground is uneven. I'm considering doing it on fingers only, or the finger joints at least. Will make it immensely harder though. I suppose your advice is to watch your wrist warmup video? :P

    Thank you. I wonder do the frog & monkey ones stress the back? Bob & Brad, physical therapists ,have expressed touch your toes & windmills are not good for the back.

    • @gmbfit
      @gmbfit  2 роки тому +1

      Everything stresses your back if you do it wrong. But your back needs movement to stay healthy, and these movements train your body to move in a way that supports the spine through different planes of motion.

    As a senior man, I developed PD; how can I kept my balance playing golf(swing). Any suggestions?

    • @gmbfit

      Build your balance in positions which feel safe to you. Check our channel for a couple of videos on that. Also work on your rotation like this video shows.

    They look really beneficial but I can’t do them. I’ve heard my wrists and can’t put weight on them. Been like this for years😭😭😭

    • @gmbfit
      @gmbfit  2 роки тому

      If you've been injured for years, I highly, highly suggest seeing a physical therapist or sports-focused doctor who can help you figure out how to rebuild your strength. The cost of doing so is far less than the cost of living with pain and limitations.
