A typo surely JP? An army never reaches its conclusion as it suggests that it is complete. There will be additional temptations awaiting to add to the collection. Great work as always
Fantastic rate of progress - effort in, reward out for sure. Thanks for all the hours that your pour into sharing the gaming table. Best Wishes for Christmas, Norm.
It been great watching your army grow and develop and seeing it take form this last year. Thanks for sharing with us. Look forward to more Merry Christmas and Happy New Year JP ...
Very nice russian troups ! Into mine 5000 figurines for La Moskowa (18mm) , yours russians inspired me so much to paint mine 1300 russians miniatures ! Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas ! Stéphane
A real accomplishment and one to be proud of. I never fail to wonder at the time and skill necessary to paint your armies - no matter how hard i try, the hand shakes, the eye fails - a real frustration to measure against. I think i saw one figure with eyeballs for God’s sake! I look forward to video tomorrow and wish you and yours a merry Christmas and good health and good fortune in the year ahead.
Beautiful units as ever JP, particularly the Elite Brigade and those Guard Hussars! Many Thanks for another cracking year of videos, Merry Christmas Greetings from down under to you, Charlie, Dan and the rest of your family. Enjoy the holidays🎄🥃
A great looking army and a heroic effort in such a short time! I only have 8 battalions a battery and a large cossack regiment this far, but still playable😊
Cossacks are almost mandatory when fielding russians. Perry have some nice models aswell as Commissar Miniatures. It is a bit problematic to order from the latter though.
What rules system do you use to fight your battles/campaigns? When I used to play the Russian Army, my group used the "Empire" set of rules, which I found very frustrating. Under Empire, only the French and British armies had effective command and control systems. It was very difficult to exercise any control over your formations to react to French attacks.
I play General D’Armee rules which have pretty good command and control, and allow all nationalities to work pretty well especially on the defensive, french and British and later dated Prussians have some command benefits but not overwhelming and the system is flexible enough to allow it to be tweaked to your own preferences…
This looks good, but I don't think a Russian army is complete without Cossacks. My plan for the new year is painting a Portugese brigade of 5 battalions, including one of Cazadores, to add to my British. And add some more to my British (cavalry and artillery) and some other bits.

brilliant set up , painted exceptionally , was wondering what officers i need for my Russian army and what manufacturer do you recommend ?
Hi, all my figures are Perry miniatures, using metals for the officers, thanks for watching, have a great Christmas cheers JP
Wow, what an accomplishment! I've been working on a Russian force that's not yet half the size since 2012, and it's still not done XD
Cheers, always a paint of a painting fanatic, helps me unwind after work….and I always find another unit to start! Thanks for watching. 👍👍
