- flight in a 1997 Citation 7 form SDF to PBI to SDF to ORD to SDF.
This was my last flight working for this company. I decided the no schedule life was not for me so I have now accepted a job for an airline.
on do bigger and better things.
I am so proud of you! Love Mom😘
MOM.........
Kathy Johnson Hi mom!🤗🤪🙈👍✈️
Hi mom!
Hi Mom!!
Mom you did a great job.
An interesting video but why the music?. It's a huge distraction and very loud. Aviation enthusiasts like myself would rather hear the radio communication and natural engine sounds.
Everyone is different
Thanks for the ride, the Citation VII is an awesome aircraft, worked at Citation service center in Orlando for over 33 years. 👍
Joseph, what was your position at Citation?
very professional! Love the communications in the cockpit, outstanding!
love the explanations and insights... Found the background music distracting, especially when the PIC and first officer are talking.
That’s a nice post champ, shout out from Brooklyn NY, nice to see your mom commented surly a proud moment seeing your son doing a great job and live his dreams.
I looked through the comments and your subscribers gave good feedback. I know pilots are always learning, now you are learning video editing. I guess a little less music would be helpful. Thank you, this was very informative to me not being in the aviation industry. See you next time!! Safe Travels :) Hi MOM :)
What is the name of the flight school in Florida
Thanks. I'd prefer ATC and pilot communications over music.
@Richard friesen..if you watch the video using headphones..you'll hear the music in one(right) and ATC audio in the other(left)
Great video! Was looking for your Cessna 170 trip home and got a different Cessna perspective LOL!
Nice Video! I have over 3000TT in the 650 my self. Great old bird. Happy flying!
Am I the only one who heard "create your own fucking list" 😂😂
0:20
That’s crazy, I live where he landed and when he said they were going to Flanagan’s I knew the exact one they were going to.
Great job. I loved the video and cant wait to see more content. I am a student pilot hoping to be a career pilot one day
Brandon, there is no hoping, you will be a pilot!! Positive thinking all the time. I'm thinking you are young and you will make your dreams comes true.
Brandon Tansil stay tuned. My next “in the eyes...” video will be right up ur ally.
Ahh the reason I want to become a pilot...
To eat McDonald’s at 7 am In The morning
I did that yesterday, where do I pick up my ATP cert?
Oh don’t forget the other sad eats as well.
7 am in the morning
Trainz2950 lmao😂
at 0:50 I thought 'man that looks like my hometown'...then I saw SDF! Louisville forever! I'm a Bowman Field boy
Wow it’s funny and great to see my flight instructor on UA-cam lol
That's funny!!
Johnney Foster hey there my friend!! I hope you keep flying.
No music bro...just cut to the real stuff like you do...that's what we're here for...great job...well done....and regards to mom.
Keep it man, be consistent and be confident, fly high ✈️✈️✈️✈️🛫
Love this one! Total respect for you guys, my dream job!
The 650 is a great airplane. I couldn’t have asked for a better first type rating. The speed is a plus too! Nice vid
Enjoyed this segment. Music was just fine; selection and volume. Thanks...clear skies.
6:48 so would we the viewers be able to gain from joining a part 135 and part 91? I have zero experience, but would like to be a part of the industry making a career. You are truly an inspiration OP. thanks for dropping knowledge bombs on us especially at 8:54. Now I know when I look around at choosing a flight school; I;ll ask if they have CFI, CFII, and MEI avalable otherwise I'll go elsewhere. Perhaps South FL where the weather is absolutely much better for flying conditions. Hope to cross paths with you very soon!
Please remove the background music its blocks out your conversation.
How have you only got 484 subs. Great Video and hello from the UK :)
Hes got like 300 more in a day
Background music is way too loud
Steve Roberts this videos levels are all f’ed up.
Turn down your earing aid
Turn down your volume?
what?
Alright Steve it's gonna be ok
Forget all the haters and their unsolicited advice. This video is great! I've always wondered what it must be like to be a corporate pilot.
There is never a need for background music.
Thanks for the insight! Would like to see more of this. Future ideas - example of routes, flight time, layover times, pros and cons summary compared to flying for the airlines.
Ignore the haters - editing is a lot of work.
I enjoyed the vid and have no comment on editing for any pilot who puts this level of effort in to sharing their experience on UA-cam. Thanks! What caught my attention (as an aviation attorney) is this: contract PIC with employee SIC--that’s a scenario I haven't seen (unless the usual Captain wasn't available that day.) But it brings up an esoteric state law issue: for state independent contractor rules compliance, that's much better set-up than what I see most days--employee PIC & contract SIC. I'm about to post a vid on a new channel ”preFlite” called, ”Are you REALLY a contract pilot?” But didn't think to include your scenario. One learns something everyday here!
I went into the wrong profession. Very inspiring - good work!
I bet Netjets are kicking themselves for shutting down Dewey Davenports experiences...
I miss his videos. I don't know why they shut them down. I thought he was very professional, and represented the industry well.
giving corporate pilot life a run for their money, Eh? Loving your camera angles. Up close and on the action, feel the takeoff. nice
Nice video and GO CARDS
Thanks for taking the time...a little lower on the music though.
So good being able to see someone fly out of my hometown. KSDF for the win
Really wanted to watch the video but the background music drowns out everything.
Pretty cool video thanks for taking the time too share.
It also helps reduce my fear of flying by seeing these types of videos LOL
Same here
3:55 who else noticed the C-130 ✈️
Yessy yes yes.
Turn down the background music please, this sounds like a commercial .
i am currently getting my private pilot license at rich aviation at meacham airport in ft worth then im going to go to atp in either texas or florida. flying is the most fun ive ever had and its amazing that you can get paid to do it. i couldnt imagine doing anything else
DRIFTY SKIDS I
I am interested in doing something similar to what the captain did in one of your videos where you explained he went to school for 3 months and got all of his certifications. what school was that??? thanks!!!!
He went to ATP but that’s isn’t really necessary to do it fast. Get your private pilots license and get hours ($200+/-) then go to Florida for fast ratings. I went to sky eagle out of FXE. Not bashing ATP. They did my ATP/CTP and was great. I just think it’s a bit expensive. Save the money for fuel. Biggest tip is to do ur ground school work!!
2.5 months.... whew. I've been in a training pipeline for a little over 3 months and almost done with PPL. Plenty of weather, scheduling, mx delays, so haven't kept their pace, but wow.
Excellent ! Wishing you the best with the new position ! Have a great day !
The Citation is know for it’s speed but it was also interesting to see how smoothly and fast it moved down the runway. Then flying at 41k altitude that plane is truly in a class of it’s own 😎
I could definitely enjoy flying a Citation but who chose the gold plated belt buckles? Yuck.
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing.
So glad to see so many negative comments about the background music. This absolutely would have been a good video to watch and learn. It makes it sound like a bad commercial.
sorry bro great video but for the future delete the cheesy jingle song and keep ATC clean, other than that dope vid i want to see more
the music was a little loud but not everybody has the same likes or dislikes what do they want the music or the aviation radio
He wants music with his video
I know what you're saying it's about the viewer but isn't this about his dream
Maybe I'll think about all this wrong
I gss the Capt looks like he was goin to a party :-)
He looks like Fred Flintstone.
I am so proud of you! Love Dad.
How comes the captain isn’t wearing uniform.
Just popped up on my feed, awesome Shawn!
Great video, but why can’t you vlog somewhere other than a car? That’s not the place to be doing that. I lost a very dear friend of mine doing the same thing on a dash mount system. Just do it in the hotel room or somewhere other than the car. Stay safe brother.
As a contract pilot, I always dress the part of the client. I have a nice collection of pants, ties and epaulettes so I can do that.
2:15 best 👍 -- Very nice video I like it!
Great video and I will NEVER understand how pilots can speak so fat and much less listen to the tower people talking. I give them some damn credit!!
Nice, I live in south Florida and Flanagan's is a good choice, everything is usually really really good. I'm finishing up commercial single.
Cut the damn music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I found it interesting, irregardless of music.
What is there a maximum amount of hours you can fly before you must take a break?
10 hours of flight time in a 14 hour duty day, must get at least 10 hours of rest.
In 91... no limit legally. The pilots set the times based on fatigue. The boss may not like it but stay safe. Know ur limits and stick to them!!!
Super cool man. awesome to see it from a different perspective
Would have loved to have seen .. HOW THE PILOTS GOT INTO THE CAPTAIN'S SEATS??? ... Really, someone please explain. I looked and both walls next to pilot seats are solid. There's only about 18 inches between the two seats, and there is a tall full length console between the seats that runs from the back of the seats to the dash, that blocks any ingress/egress into the seats. To further complicate things, there's the floor mounted control sticks limiting access into the footwell area. So, just how ... is access to the seats gained???
Daryl Ireland you just have to be a bit of a Gumbi. Step over the center console while bending over so your head doesn’t hit the ceiling; then angle your foot to go between the yoke and seat. It can be a little challenging the first time or two.
not sure if this is the problem, but audio is not mono, you have speaking in the left earphone and music is in the right. Might help out to mix them both together... just some friendly feedback :) awesome video!
he's not just a pilot... he's a stewardess ... and a delivery boy...
And a cleaner.
Great video 👍🏾
What’s better...corporate or mainstream like Swayne Martin? And who flys that jet? The janitors? The captains new uniform looks good, blue🤔
Pilot Vlogs agreed.
It’s true they have a very nice office))👍👍👍
The captain forgot his uniform 😂
Great video
At least now you have some planning in your life, great vlog!
That Landing.... did you even noticed that you touched down?
Good thing you got outta there. That corporate pilot, no schedule, on call all the time bullshit has got to be terrible! Airline schedules are so much better. You know when you’re at work and you know when your days off are. Can’t beat it.
Great vid but I would cut down on the music once airborne.
Great to get moms love for achievement.....
Assuming vid skipped over crew briefing?
background music! it should sound 30% of your voice level. Then atc voice, that also shoudnlt be that loud compared to voice. but video itself is all good ;-)
i live in south florida and flanagan's is a great place. I want to be a pilot someday so that's cool.
Why doesn't captain have to wear a uniform?
That's awesome! at 4:45 you can hear UPS 5513 check in for landing. I load 5513 every morning here in ONT for its flight out to SDF lol that's awesome
Is 5513 an MD-11f?
@@MD-on9fi It's actually an A306
Great explanation of your day -- very enlightening! What is your favorite plane to fly and why?
sideskraft Cessna 170/172TW. It’s a real plane that the pilot actually flys. Plus tail wheel!! Just watch my other videos. These jets r cool but it’s not really flying IMO.
Nice to see the BAR is well stocked!
hey dont need the music mate. cut it off ;-)
Absolutely, very distracting.
Geez Louise it’s about time to de-rubber that runway, you can’t see the markings. I’ve never seen such an obscured. I’m in Phoenix where the temp get up to 120 which causes the runway temp to get up there. The effect on tires is dramatic, yet nothing like that first landing runway.
why is there a cross check at 80 knots with NO confirm from 1st officer ? 2nd officer confirmed himself
Why is tye captian not wearing a uniform?
Best background music, all is well trust me... Who's the artist anywhere?
Very Cool, Pilots!
I fly corporate, too, can't name company and can't video which is ok by me; am very busy which includes lots of hours to keep me sharp. happy, well traveled over US & Can, and well compensated, challenged and satisfied ! Some of the landings in Northern Can this last winter made me want chains on the tires !! Just kidding. Runways were long, flat, and sometimes icy but manageable.
Wish you Guys well; thanks for the video.
Happy flights and stay alert, Pilots.
Do be a corporate pilot do you need to get your ppl then cpl then...?
Looks like one of those pilots who hits one of those pictured whisky bottles before flying.
I know that plane!
I worked the line at CPS for many years. Both Jet Aviation and Ideal Aviation.
Hi mom, don't worry he made a great move at least he's not always on call!
Cool Video.... I know your PIC. He flew into ECP all the time. Ask him about his sons Walk around abilities
Brian Rust I asked him. Very cool story!
This is not a costume 🤣
If I was able to do it all over, I would have done this!
Loved the video!
Right amount of information and video .
Personally never liked to be referred to as " this or that guy"even if I wasn't paying the bills
Might be a Chicago's thing
Get rid of the music, I wanted to hear you.
How much total time do you have? Also, how come your captain is not wearing a uniform?
Did he say he did private to MEI in 2 and half months? That's crazy. I'm guessing ATP.
I think people are misunderstanding him. He says he got his IFR through CFII in 2.5 months. He must have already had the private and CPL minimums at that point.
He already had his private. De did his instrument, commercial, CFI, CFIi, MEI in that allotted time............but you're flying everyday.
What schools did each of you attend?
@@GameOnGA The school of poverty. Actually, many years ago I attended a 4 year college with a flight program. biggest mistake if you're the one paying for it. Just select an FBO and do your education on the side. Choose something you can fall back on if you decide flying is not for you. It could be business, finance, engineering, IT, etc.
@@GameOnGA Part 61 outfit for private and IFR. Local instructor for Commercial.
Some nice visuals. Needs much better voice recording and much better audio editing. These are difficult skills and until you get everything tweaked, the results you get from you editor may not accurately reflect what the audience hears.
Great video, gives a good idea how is flying corporate. I would like to know, how much earns a corporate pilot? I guess you get paid only for the hours you fly
What camera are you using to film this? Almost sounds like a GoPro Inside the waterproof case. Great video just the audio was a little muffled at times. Grab an external mic and edit that in for better audio. Just some friendly criticism but very nice video otherwise.
