Well said Diane!! Caroline gives us real practical helpful information!!! She is a very good teacher with such amazing knowledge... not just another person piling on makeup that probably looks terrible in real life!!!! Thank You Caroline, Xo!!!
It's Saturday morning & I'm sitting in the garden having a cuppa in the sunshine & Caroline the queen of Saturdays is sharing another fabulous tutorial with us! Thank you Caroline!🤗
I love that you use and suggest multiple products. I hate videos where they only use 1 product and it cost $2838 and then It ends up not being good for my skin. Explaining what works best for each type of skin is so incredibly helpful. Thank you so much
Thank you for another masterclass, since you told us about the Ordinary concealer and tips on how to apply it, I've used nothing else, I use the 1.2 under my eyes, and 2.0 on any redness on my face, don't use any foundation or powder, love it xxx
Hi Caroline, I’m late watching this but it was so so helpful. I’ve watched other videos you’ve done on concealers and correctors but each time I seem to learn a little more. Maybe you’ve said something a little different or more in depth, not sure, but I really enjoyed the info in this video and yes, would love master classes on whatever, even though you’ve already shown us so much, it always seems new. I think it speaks to how knowledgeable you are of your craft, and how much you enjoy what you do, and we all really appreciate it, thank you. 😊
Ahhh Saturday morning bliss.......love that every Saturday you teach my a new little make up trick! This was a great video......my eye areas is my problem area so can't wait to try these out. I have just purchased the Revoloution Conceal and Correct in peach and it is fantastic at covering the blue area under my eyes.
This video is absolutely outstanding and finally shows me the different types of concealers and their uses!! Makes life easier when you know what you are supposed to be doing!! You mentioned people who have skin that just seems to eat makeup. My skin is sort of like that so I would love to know your tips and suggestions for makeup application so it lasts longer than an hour!! Im sure Im not the only one here who has that problem. Regarding the Master Classes on different makeup aspects, I would absolutely love to see those plse Caroline!! As always, thank you for sharing your expertise with us. Take care and stay safe xx
I totally agree with you Sarah Cooper. I will be a faithful follower from now on. ! Thank you! Stay safe! You have been an inspiration to me & friends! We luv you 💜💛
One of the things I love about you is that your tips can be used with the products I currently have. Your application advice has really upped my game. Thanks Caroline!
I love watching you. I'm going to try the hyaluronic trick! Thanks. I do appreciate you mentioning products you like. It's nice to know what to look for if I don't have them
Great insight into the different format and concealer textures. Thank You Caroline. I hope there are more videos dedicated to covering hyper pigmentation and melasma on dry skin. It becomes a nightmare to make it look seamless. I am guessing thin layers of a few different concealer colours might do the trick but I would love to learn from the expert herself.
Hi, Caroline. This was so very helpful. I have normal to combination skin but am dry under my eyes, creating creasing and making me look more wrinkled that I actually am. Great tip about adding hyaluronic on top of the concealer - would have never thought of that. That's why we love you. You always give us useful tidbits and tricks that no one else talks about. You are absolutely lovely and a joy to watch. Thank you! - xx, Carla
Thanks Caroline, really helpful. I just love your Saturday morning chat. I have enjoyed watching you for years, but I have so especially appreciated you lately over lockdown, you have been so friendly and totally real. 💕
I recently purchased The Ordinary concealer and love it! No creasing and long wearing. Perfect for mature skin. Best low cost concealer. Thanks so much for a very informative video. Take care! ❤️🇨🇦
Great, super video! Just needed to know what to do with my crazy skin, especially what NOT to do - which, obviously, is what I've been doing until now. The hyaluronic tip is the best SOS advice for eye makeup I ever heard of, very interesting. Tomorrow is my 58th birthday and my dark circles have almost reached my bra... So I hope my birthday gift is a beautiful box with lots of makeup goodies, including a great concealer and a gallon of hyaluronic acid! Happy weekend Caroline 💖
Hi Caroline, thank you so much for this. I found this so helpful and have been wanting to try the Glossier stretch concealer I love watching you and I have learnt so much from you. Where would we be without you Caroline ❤️
Thank you Caroline I so look forward to your Saturday morning tutorials, as always full of great advice. I’m definitely going to try the HA through the day see if that helps with creasing round my eyes xxx
Hi Caroline I find the most minimal amount of concealer I can get away with, works the best for my very dry 49 year old undereye. I use a hydrating formula and set with the tiniest amount of powder possible. I'm fortunate not to have really dark circles and just a bit of blue in the inner corner though. I can imagine if I had a lot of darkness that I would have to use a lot more, making it far more obvious. I have a very expressive face lol and creasing for me is a given, hence the tiniest amount...I used to love the now discontinued stroke of light from bare minerals - it was my favourite (I hate when companies do that). I may try the clinique one shown, although the other pen style I have tried have not wowed. For redness I do use a green primer (I have rosacea) and it does help. The tarte shape tape is budgeproof for facial concealing and used over a hydrating base works well for me. Best wishes.
That was so helpful - especially about waiting a bit before blending round the eyes. For the future, now that the weather is hopefully going to get a bit better and brighter, would you be able to do a tutorial on tinted moisturisers? It's something I've never been able to get to grips with. Just love my Saturday classes :-)
Brilliant Caroline, thank you. I have the Nars soft matte and it is excellent on oily lids, also doubles as a lid primer to control oil but also to neutralise skin tone before eyeshadow application..win/win! 👍👍
Personally, l keep foundation away from the eye area. For me it adds to creasing and looking cakey under the eyes. Everyones skin is different, though. If using foundation under the eyes, I'd use concealer on top for better coverage.
Such an informative video, thanks for all those tips and tricks. I think I’ll buy the NARS stretch concealer and I’ll definitely try the HA tip for under eyes. Thank you! 😊
I love the glossier stretch concealer since Caroline recommended it a couple of years ago. I have mature skin and it’s sits in place for hours. It’s also a good price.Glossier help with shade choice too.
Completely out in left field, but I want to share this anyway. I happened upon a cover fx custom cover drops at tj Maxx, and I’ve been experimenting with it in different products. Moisturizers, spf, but my favorite thus far and I got the idea while listening to you in this video. Aquaphor. I put a 1/2 peas size amount of aquaphor on the back of my hand and added a drop of the custom color drops. Smooshed that around and patted it in my under eye area. And on other areas with what was leftover. 🤩🤯 I don’t hate it! I can’t speak to longevity, but I work from home- so it’s going to be perfect for zoom calls. ❤️❤️ Experimenting is fun!
I have been using Sunday Riley Auto Correction Eye Cream since you recommended it sometime ago and I love it!! It is a must for my daily morning routine. Loved this week's episode! See you next week!
Great video, thank you for this as well as the video about the ordinary concealer - I bought it on your recommendation and used the way you taught love it! My problem is that since reaching the latter end of my 40's my under eyes have become a problem that I never had before. I don't have too much darkness but now have puffiness so find concealer seems to accentuate this. On top of this my eye area is really dry so dont like using powder to set as it feels so horribly dry after an hour or so. I will try the HA tip!
Hi Caroline. First, I want to say thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I really appreciate it. I am 62 1/2 and have terrible problems with concealer settling in the fine lines under my eyes and no matter what I do, it looks cakey and creased and just looks terrible. I will try the Nars suggestion and the hyaluronic tip. Also, Becca has a blue primer type product specifically for under the eyes. I have tried that without much luck. Have you tried it and if so, what is your opinion? Thank you and looking forward to future videos. I look forward to every Saturday morning to see what you have in store for us!
Fab deep dive ❤ I found the Ordinary one too heavy and dry on older skin. Tarte ceaseless is ok-ish with sponge - how does the T. Shape tape compare? will try the blotting before powder xx
Could honestly watch you all day Caroline, please could you recommend eyeshadow for wrinkly eyelids. I love eyeshadow but it can really look dry and highlights my wrinkles. I don’t want to stop wearing it 😢
I look forward to your Saturday morning beauty tutorials. I use the glossier stretch and really rate it. I joined Beauty Pie this week using the code you offered Caroline. I chose the Orange Absolute fragrance and the tinted spf you featured last week. Loving both of my choices, so thank you. ❤❤
I need moisturizing but with coverage. Hard to find for sure. I will try the hyaluronic on top instead of an oil. The oil does work but at the same time I feel like it’s dissolving my coverage.
Great lil video Caroline.. I was wondering if you might be able to do a lil video on "moisture barrier and skin repair"... I think I might be one of those people who doesnt get on with hyaluronic acid. Xxx

Great amount of information Caroline! THANK YOU! My problem is that my concealer tends to separate on my undereyes. No matter what I use, and I've many many many (!) concealers. I hydrate, and hydrate before hand but this always happens. Could it be my method of application since they all have the same effect? I'll try the HA you've suggested. Hoping you might have some advice for me. I'm 56 with lots of crinkles from smiling, and only slight darkness. Please HELP!!!
Thank you for this very informative video! Just comes right in time, because I'm looking for a follow up to Becca Under eye Brightening Corrector, since the company goes off the market. The Clinique one sounds interesting, don't like full on concealer, just a little brightening..
Laura Mercier Under Eye Setting p Powder really helps. It's very fine milled and doesn't exacerbate lines and creases. Not cheap at £20 but a little goes a long way.
Hi I suggest a caffeine containing eye serum/cream to take down some of the puffiness. Using concealer in the dark/deeper part (like the highlighting pens shown) can brighten that area. it's just a different placement than using under the lashline. Hope that helps. ps the inkey list does a cream and the ordinary does a caffeine serum - an inexpensive way to try it. x
Love this! Please could you do a makeup bag for work video? I cycle to work and have limited room. I always want to take all the makeup with me but can't. Love your videos x
Great video. I'm currently really struggling with my base makeup, I've got very dry skin. Concealer looks dry under my eyes, don't think hyaluronic would work, I avoid it during the winter, too drying. Because I have to use such a rich moisturiser/sunscreen, foundation etc just goes cakey or settles into pores even with a primer. It's driving me mad. I have to use a little powder under my eyes, if I don't I get mascara on my skin but powder makes my eyes look even dryer and parched. I never used to have these issues, must be my age but I've fallen out of love with makeup because of it. I'd love to know how a mua would deal with these issues! x
One of the few benefits of lockdown is there's been some brilliant creation. Have learnt SO much from you every time you film, Caroline. Thanks so much for helping keep us going!
Many Thanks. That's great. The Ordinary concealer is caky on me. If I mix it with some moisturizer, it's better. But I'll definitely try that with the HA. Thank you.
Hi Caroline, thank you for your videos, as always they are really helpful and informative. I wonder if you can help with flakes caused by Retin A. I have been using this for four years now and it has made an incredible difference to my skin and intend to continue using it. I do however get very flaky skin caused by Retin A and do all the usual with using a flannel to help remove the flakes etc. However I wonder if there is a product which 'eats' away the flakes and would help to prevent flakes breaking through foundation half way through the day. Any expert advice would be much appreciated. Thank you, Anna xx
I have dry dehydrated skin and my concealers ALLWAYS creases (no matter which concealer) and looks dry - I will try the Hyaloronic Acid tip 🤞🏻 I also get polka dots pores with almost all foundations even the ones that are hydrating... Do you have any good tips?
Thank you for all the info! Almost 65 and eyelids have become extremely dry! Dark circles and puffiness under the eyes. 🤦🏼♀️ Also....never wore liquid foundation. Just always seems to sink into pores and wears away around the mouth. But mineral foundation is not right for me anymore. Skin isn’t what it used to be. Suggestions? Liquid foundation always made me feel like my skin couldn’t breathe. With masks I don’t worry about it but they will eventually go away...right? 😆 Thank you. ❤️
Have you tried the new(ish) Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation. I'm a couple of years younger, with super-dry skin and this seems to do the trick IF I've also moisturised well first and let it sink in
I invested in a Surratt concealer palette - ummm what a waste of money! So thick it was difficult to apply without dragging the delicate under eye skin. Have you tried it Caroline?
Did u have the shade fair or neutral fair??? That's the first two shades and the 3rd is called medium....i.been wanting to get the new clinique foundation and I'm gonna grab this concealer while I'm at it. It looks GREAT on u also....with the ordinary concealer.....which type is it?? Is it light reflecting? Is it a nice creamy formula for dry skin or is it super dry for oily skin??
Thank you for your vlogs! Can you please say the name of the products and show the products close up as you go, or make the product name pop up in text as you go. This makes it so much more fun and easy to know what you’re using instead of looking it up in text (of course also great!). Thank you!
Here’s what I do during the day when my concealer is looking dry and crinkled. After I have washed my hands I will apply a hand cream and right before the hand cream has fully absorbed I will press my hands over the dry parts of my face and over the under eye area that’s looking dry and crinkled. That seems to help without disturbing the makeup too much.
This is total luxury. Sitting in bed with a hot coffee and having a top make up artist do a masterclass for me. Just love it 😁
Oh Diane I’m so emotional at the moment your message made me well up!! Thank you 😊

That little tip about applying a wee dab of hyaluronic acid over your concealer works wonders! Thank you Caroline.👏🏻👍🥰
Oh fantastic 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm so happy to hear that because I have such bone dry undereyes and have never found a concealer that doesn't look like cracked earth. I will try it!

What do you suggest for puffy eyes that make you look like you have dark circles?

Lovely and helpful video! Thank you. I love your blouse, where is it from, please?
She says in the text above comments it’s last season Mint Velvet ...
Those Ordinary concealers are working really well for me, but I only need a tiny tiny dab on each eye. Hyaluronic topper? Genius. xx
Thanks again, great video. What can i use in summer to cover pigment on cheeks and improve skin texture? Live in Spain so it gets sweaty hot!
Check out Spanish brand Isdin - it’s brilliant and decently priced x
Thank you this is brilliant! I'm Indian and my dark circles are a darker brown. What colour corrector is best?
What hyaluronic serum do you use under the eye when you say the concealer gets crusty.
What shade of Nars and Ordinary are you using please?
La bellezza è che siamo tutte diverse☺️
Is the Clinique concealer good for mature eye area?
I just got a PhD in concealers! Thank you Caroline :)
😂😂😂😂
Did u have the shade fair or neutral fair??? That's the first two shades and the 3rd is called medium....i.been wanting to get the new clinique foundation and I'm gonna grab this concealer while I'm at it. It looks GREAT on u also....with the ordinary concealer.....which type is it?? Is it light reflecting? Is it a nice creamy formula for dry skin or is it super dry for oily skin??
I use neutral fair 😀
Do you think touching up with HA would be drying in an arid climate with no moisture in the air to pull from? Thx for the tutorial.
Yes sorry I should have mentioned this I forget my audience is global...
I do that too sometimes!
Question: I sometimes use a powder foundation, if I'm in a hurry. Do you put the concealer under or on top of a powder foundation?
@Dawn Baby Thank you, yes it helps.
Could you please do a video for us whose skin does, indeed, eat makeup?
